Weekend Wrap Up

We had a nice, long weekend and we relaxed a bit and worked a lot bit too.  The weather was nice so I enjoyed early morning birdie watching...

Before Mommy made me work by doing quality control on her beady goodies.  

Yes, it passes inspection Mommy...

I tried to relax on my beautiful quilt made for us by Tasha, Franklin and Dobby's mom from Mishkat...

But the pawpawrazzi wouldn't leave me alone.  Enough already Mommy!

She cheated and opened the window so I was distracted by the sound of birdies...

It's a tough job being me but somekitty has to do it!

Tortie Tuesday!

I've been working on my supermodel poses so I look as beautiful as my Tortie furiends Tasha and Delilah. Whatcha think of this pose? Notice my Tortie Teapot tail!

Phew! It's pretty exhausting holding supermodel poses.

I mean really exhausting!

I think I just need to lay here and rest up after all that.

Appreciate the natural beauty in you and everything around you! Be true to yourself because it's hard trying to be something you're not. I am beautiful but I'm not a supermodel - at least not yet anyway!

Back In Time...

Our Mommy got tagged twice last week, by Lynn from Lynn's Musing and Mumblings and by Katie from Mishkat. Both say she is to give 7 facts about herself but Katie's adds that she is to include a photo of when she was younger.

Anyway, we'll let Mommy take over and post her picture and facts!

1. Although Katie was brave enough to post current pictures, I'm not that brave so we'll stick to old photos like this one! It's of me and our dog Sally. I'm not even sure how old I am in this picture but I'd guess 3? Pretty cute outfit huh?

2. I've posted this photo before but it's been awhile so I'll post it again. It's of me and my first cat Sugar. You can read more about me finding him by clicking here.

3. Okay, here's a fact. There is a way, somewhere on this blog, to see a more current picture of me. That's all I'm saying!

4. I grew up in Kansas but after seeing a family friend's house leveled by a tornado and then having a tornado take the roof off a building near where I was working during college, I knew I needed to live in a tornado free zone! We moved to Loveland, CO right as soon as I graduated.

5. I never mailed a package on my own until after I got married. My dad was a Postmaster so I sent all my mail and packages to work with him. And now that I have to stand in the lines I realize what a perk that was!

6. I'm not on Facebook and it seems like I'm the only one who's not!

7. I'm shy - really! This could be the reason for #6!

Tortie Tuesday!

It's Tortie Tuesday once again! Today I'm going to post an award that was given to me and my sisfur Angel by a supermodel Tortie - Tasha from Mishkat! She gave us the "Seu blog é um sonho"award which is Portuguese for "Your Blog is a Dream"!

The rules of this award are to give seven beauty tips and pass it on to seven blogs. Here are our beauty tips:

1. Get plenty of beauty sleep. This is very, very important!

2. Be sure to get plenty of exercise by playing with toys, making a speedway out of any surface or practicing the long jump from the nightstand to your mommy's back in the middle of the night.

3. Keep your furs nice and clean. We help each other keep our out of reach furs clean.

4. Drink plenty of fresh clean water. The freshest, coolest water is usually your mommy's water!

5. Stretch to keep your body long and limber preferably on a bean warmed sofa cushion.

6. Be sure to sniff the fresh air often.

7. And our most important beauty tip is to love everyone around you! We love our beans and our big sisfur Sadie which makes every day a beautiful one!

Today I'm going to do something a little different. I'm going to introduce you to three blogs that if you haven't met yet, they are really worth getting to know! To start off, last week I received the Lemonade award from two of these blogs - Katie at Mishkat and Meghann at Little Studio Photography and Jewellery.

To show my appreciation, here's some more information about these blogs beginning with Mishkat!

I met Katie from Mishkat through Etsy and liked her from the very first contact. She is a huge animal lover and has three kitties pictured below - Tasha, Dobby and Franklin.

Katie has been such a wonderful supporter of mine and I appreciate it more than I can say. Her blog has been entertaining and fabulous from Day 1 as we hear about the antics of her kitties. Tasha is a tortie so of course I enjoy posts about her! Franklin has such innocent playfulness in everything he does and his purrsonality shows in his expressive face! He's so cute! And Dobby is so handsome and has the cutest pink paws that I've ever seen! Be sure to visit their blog and I'm sure you'll be glad you did!

Abby has the most wonderful ability to make her blog readers feel like you are long time friends. Her heart shows through in everything she does. A few weeks ago she received the Generosity award and passed it on to several people including me. But, she didn't stop there. She also sent each of us a present. I received beautiful earrings from her yesterday and she brought a very bright end to my really long week! I will be paying it forward after tax season is over when I can concentrate fully on making something special for my recipients. Abby also recently started a blog for her kitties called The FatKat Kronicles and Scooter is the main blogger for the kitty family.
