Thankful Thursday

Something came in the mail and I knew right away it was for me...
It's my very own bag to carry my roll of, uh, poop bags on my walks! It's pink like my collar and my leash. It's camo and it has purple on it for my Army of Four friends from K-State country, Cammie and Maggie!
It hooks on my leash with this cool purple dog bone too...
As I'm learning around here, even though this is for me it has to meet kitty inspection. Angel gave it her approval...
Isabella thinks it's really pink Tortie fabric. She thinks all things are about her. Don't tell her I said that...
She did give me the idea that treats would fit in it too...
Actually, she expected treats for doing such a thorough inspection...
Anyway, my new bag is a treat and I'll be the most stylish dog in the hood! Thank you, Cammie and Maggie for helping your mom make such an awesome poop bag bag! I love it! Mommy loves it too and Daddy is glad it's not too girlie for him to walk with me and all my pink accessories!

What are you thankful for today?

Happy September! Happy Thursday too!
Lexi

Disclaimer: I was a super wiggly wiggle butt during this photo shoot and couldn't contain myself no matter what so sorry for the not so great photos. Mommy tried upteen times to get photos of me and the bag but I just couldn't hold still.

Strolling with Friends on Sadieday

It's Sadieday!  We wish we could be strolling with our sisfur Sadie but we know she's with us in spirit and would enjoy strolling with friends.  Today we're going to hang out with two handsome Siberian Huskies from Kansas - Zim and Dave from the Army of Four!
These boys are so handsome and they are also Army disciplined so they make sure they walk their mom and dad several times a day...
They're also great explorers - Zim has traveled to the Top of the World (or at least the Top of the Little Apple aka Manhattan, KS)...
He's also discovered the Kansas Ocean...
Dave likes to hang out on the boardwalk at the edge of the Ocean...
Zim is very good at communicating with anybuddy - even cats!  He has several kit-cat friends in his neighborhood...
Dave communicates with us by showing us his gorgeous blue eyes and freckles...
Our sisfur Sadie was pretty good at communicating with her eyes too.  This look always got her smooches on her snooter from Mommy...
We hope you enjoyed strolling with our Kansas friends, Zim and Dave, today!  Be sure to take a stroll in your neck of the woods and as always, be sure to spread love and smiles on Sadieday and every day!

Happy Sadieday!
Have a great weekend too!

Happy Sadieday!

I'm so glad it's Sadieday!  I'll be sure to get a stroll in later but first I'm going to help Mommy plant some flowers.  She is not much of a gardener so since my Siberian Husky friends, Zim and Dave, from Kansas are such good snoopervisors gardeners, I thought I can do that since I'm a husky too.  Uh, Mommy, I'm pretty sure this flower has bloomed its last bloom...
This geranium has been in the garage since last fall but whaddya know, there is something green growing again...
Okay, go ahead and put that half dead miracle plant in another pot, put the new plants in the hanging planter and while you're doing all that, I'll keep watch out for neighbor cats...
You sure are making a mess on my deck Mommy.  Do you need help playing in the dirt?  Ha roo!
Hey, you followed directions pretty good Mommy!  Who says beans aren't trainable?
I think Zim and Dave were right - huskies do make great snoopervisors gardeners!  Huskies also enjoy strolling so we'll get all cleaned up and go on a stroll and hope you get a chance to do so today too!

Hope you have a Happy Sadieday and a great weekend!
Sadie

Sunday Scenes

As we enjoy a lazy Sunday, we thought we'd show some scenes from Mommy and Daddy's trip to Kansas. Since Mommy always has her camera, she began taking photos right after take off from Portland beginning with Mount St. Helens...
Then Mount Hood...
Of course a big cat makes any mountain look better so Charlie the Cougar was a favorite subject of the day...
After their layover in Denver, Domino the Deer took Charlie's place...
And just to make sure the people around her knew she's bonkers with her camera, she took this photo to show us she was thisclose to the Army of Four and the OP Pack... While on the ground in Kansas, she discovered one of Santa's disguises... And she also discovered a hidden tourist gem tucked away in our Grandpa's small Kansas town... That's not a subway as in underground transportation but as in a sandwich shop! Yeah, it's a small town!

We hope to be more caught up tomorrow but no promises. We do promise to take it easy today and hope you do too!

Enjoy your day!

We've Been Tagged!

We've been tagged with a fun photo tag by our friends Dave, Zim, Stormy and Ammy at the Army of Four and also by Teri from Rainblowflute. The tag is to open our first photo folder, scroll down to the 10th photo, post that photo and tell the story behind it, then tag 5 more bloggers.

Our first photo folder is from 1-3-09 and here is the 10th photo...
The story behind this photo is that my little sisfur Angel started looking out the downstairs window.
My other sisfur Isabella had to come see what she was looking at.
Then Angel left but Isabella kept looking out the window.
Well then I had to come see what she was looking at.
And eventually Isabella left leaving me all alone looking out the window which is the photo we started with today. Everything around here turns into a group project.

This was a fun tag so we're going to pass it on to 5 other bloggers with no obligation to play along although we hope you do! Here are our choices in no particular order:

Khyra from Khyra's Khorner
Rumblepurr and Inigo from Rumblebum
Sparkle and her sisfurs from Sparkle the Designer Cat
Catherine from Corner of a Cat's Mind

Sisfurly Love

My sisfur and I may not look like we have much in common but there is one thing that brings us together - napping!
We both love to nap and it's the only time I'll let either of my sisfurs get very close to me.
It helps to have a bed barrier in between us.
I admit, I love both my little sisfurs and you can tell that Isabella loves me too.
The reason I allowed a photo shoot of me being close to my sisfur is that we got the "Showing Some Love Award" from Dave, Zim, Ammy and Storm at The Army of Four! Their house is full of love like ours so we appreciate them giving us this award! Thank you very much!
How'd we do showing love Mommy? You don't know how hard that was to do when I really wanted to stick out my tongue. But I didn't, much...
We always appreciate you taking a little time out of your day to visit us so we'd like to show the love by passing this award to any of our readers who'd like to accept it!

Hope you have a wonderful Thursday!
Sadie

Thankful Thursday!

Some of our readers have already met the fabulous Siberian Husky family from Kansas - the Army of Four consisting of Amber, Dave, Storm and Zim. Well, their mom, Karen, makes wonderful bags that she sells via her blog Bags by KZK and she recently made us a HTP! (Hold the Phone!) Bag that we're very thankful for!

Mommy always has trouble carrying her cell phone, camera and some poop bags (a girls got to do what a girls got to do!) while holding onto my leash so she needed something to help her keep everything together. Mommy asked Karen to make us a HTP! Bag with the stipulations that it have red on it to match my collar and leash and it couldn't be too girly in case Daddy carried it.

When it arrived, my little sisfur Isabella had to sniff it right out of the package but as you can see, I came right over and made sure she knew it was MY bag!
My other little sisfur Angel had to check out MY bag too. Isn't it a fabulous bag? It turned out better than we could ever imagined! Of course Mommy can't imagine anything but numbers but still... I tried to model it by snooter hanging but it didn't work out so well.
Here's Karen's dog Dave modeling it like a pro. Isn't he handsome?
We've taken the HTP! Bag on all our hikes and even to the coast already! Here's a picture of it in action! We love our HTP! Bag since Mommy isn't always dropping something (and slowing me down). It hooks onto my leash so is always ready to go when I am! Thank you so much for making us such a great bag Karen!

Check out Karen's blog for the HTP! Bag as well as all the other kinds of great bags she makes!

Summer Sunday and Some Sincere Thanks!

We're enjoying a relaxing summer Sunday but wanted to share some summer scenes from the Oregon coast. A trip to the coast always includes seeing sea gulls such as this one at Seal Rock:
And here's a view of the coast, again from Seal Rock:

She shows us her creations plus shares stories of her adorable dog Arwen as well as informing us of worthy causes that she supports. Be sure to check her blog and her Etsy shop out! And thank you for the award Meghann!

Easy Like Sunday Morning!

It's been rainy here this weekend so we're just taking it easy while waiting for the sun to break through.
Hopefully it's sunny in your part of the world!
***********************************************
We recently received an award so want to thank the Siberian Huskies, Amber, Dave, Stormy and Zim, at the Army Of Four in Kansas for giving us the Life is Grand award! We are certainly honored! Be sure to check out their blog to see what these Sibes are up to and you will certainly see why their blog is a daily must visit for us!
Along with this award we are supposed to post 5 reasons why we think life is grand and then pass it on to 5 other blogs. There are so many reasons why life is grand but here is five of them, in no particular order:

1) Sadie thinks life is grand because she gets to go on walks in the forest.
2) Isabella thinks life is grand because she has lots of comfy places to sleep.
3) I think life is grand because I get Temptations every day!
4) Life is grand for all of us because we were all rescued from shelters and now have a wonderful forever home.
5) Life is also grand because Mommy and Daddy love us very much and are very good to us always!

Enjoy your Sunday!
Angel
