This and That on Sadieday

Happy Sadieday!  We had a busy week and now the rains have returned to the Pacific Northwest taking away our warm sunpuddles.  Guess that means we'll have to spend the weekend napping under the covers!  Anyway, remember our special project we were working on in our sisfur Sadie's colors that we're going to raffle off for a local charity?
Well, we're still getting the details ironed out with the charity since it'll be done on their website but we have completed the bracelet.  What do ya think?
That particular bracelet is Mommy's since it's the first one so is very special but we'll make one similar to it for the raffle.  She gets lots of compliments on it every time she wears it but of course that doesn't surprise us since it's made with Sadie's pretty colors!  If you'd like one without waiting on the raffle or for her to list one in her shop, just email us and we'll get one made!

This week was a sad one in that Marg's sweet dog Jasmine had to go to the Bridge.  We know Sadie welcomed her with open paws though and they are probably both strolling all over the place together!   It's heart breaking when our friends and loved ones go off to the Bridge but there's always somebuddy to help us smile again and we found some smile worthy friends this week like adorable little Duke...
And how about Thunder, Lightning and Ciara caught in the act of being cute by their mom...
Our mommy thinks Khyra is asking for a smooch on her snooter in this photo...
Take a look around your neck of the woods and find reasons to smile this Sadieday and every day!  You never know when you're the reason for somebuddy else's smile too!

We hope you have a Happy Sadieday and a great weekend!

Stroll with Friends on Sadieday!

Happy Sadieday everybuddy!  We still miss our sisfur Sadie every day but especially on Sadiedays.  To help us smile today, we're going to go on a little stroll and then hang out with the OP Pack from the Chronicle of Woos.  Here's the beawootiful Siberian Husky family from Kansas...
Lightning, Ciara, Thunder and Phantom
It's been really hot in Kansas this summer but still, let's go along with Phantom on a stroll...
He has lots of friends including this donkey who he introduced his little sister Ciara too.  We think that donkey is smitten with her!
But how could he not be, she's such a pretty girl!  Sadie would be proud of her napping on the furniture too!
The OP part of the OP Pack stands for Overland Park which is not only an hour from where Mommy and Daddy grew up and where our Grandpa from Kansas still lives, it's also a suburb of Kansas City which is BBQ country!  Thunder doesn't let anyone forget this!
Of course it's also near our Daddy's favorite team - the Kansas City Chiefs!  Sadie watched the games with him and every touchdown Daddy would put his hands up in the air and Sadie would howl.  They enjoyed it.  Us?  Not so much since it disturbed our naps!
We hope you enjoyed hanging out with our friends today!  Last week we know our Sadieday post made some of you sad but that's not our intention.  Our sisfur Sadie was always full of love and was happy all the time so we hope to still share that love and happiness since we know she wouldn't want us sad.  So, be sure to get out and stroll in your neck of the woods or do whatever makes your heart happy today!

Have a Happy Sadieday and a great weekend too!

Sunday Scenes

As we enjoy a lazy Sunday, we thought we'd show some scenes from Mommy and Daddy's trip to Kansas. Since Mommy always has her camera, she began taking photos right after take off from Portland beginning with Mount St. Helens...
Then Mount Hood...
Of course a big cat makes any mountain look better so Charlie the Cougar was a favorite subject of the day...
After their layover in Denver, Domino the Deer took Charlie's place...
And just to make sure the people around her knew she's bonkers with her camera, she took this photo to show us she was thisclose to the Army of Four and the OP Pack... While on the ground in Kansas, she discovered one of Santa's disguises... And she also discovered a hidden tourist gem tucked away in our Grandpa's small Kansas town... That's not a subway as in underground transportation but as in a sandwich shop! Yeah, it's a small town!

We hope to be more caught up tomorrow but no promises. We do promise to take it easy today and hope you do too!

Enjoy your day!

True Gift...

Our mommy wants to thank you all very much for the birthday wishes yesterday! Your comments helped to make it a very nice day for her.
Since Mommy already has the three of us plus Daddy, there wasn't any present to get her other than one that helped out animals in need. To do this, we're going to need you help...

We recently accepted a Paw It Forward challenge from our furiends in Kansas Phantom, Thunder and Ciara. Aren't they such a beawootiful family?
The OP pack gave a generous donation to help Shelby so, for our PIF challenge and also in lieu of our mommy's present, we're going to donate to an animal charity. How much we donate will be decided by you! Just leave a comment on this post from now until our Monday post publishes at midnight PST and we'll donate $1 per comment!

If you'd like to accept the PIF challenge and Paw It Forward to others in need too, just let us know in your comment. We'd love for three of our furiends to participate but we do understand that times are very tough right now. Anyway, thank you for helping us help animals!
