Weekend Wrap Up

We sure needed last weekend around here. Of course it was a long holiday weekend but that didn't matter since Mommy was sick and Isabella was really, really sick. We all felt bad for Bella because of her stuffed up nose, runny eyes and lethargy. She made Cod awful noises while breathing and her sneezes could be heard from anywhere in the house. Mommy thought she needed fresh air so even though it was barely 40 degrees outside, we both got fresh air - from our own windows of course...
Because of Mommy needing to rest up for her show today, I put a stop to any more beady goodie making...
Whatever inventory we had is what she's taking today including all these earrings...
And there's even some journals in this box...
The break must have helped because both Mommy and Isabella were feeling better yesterday. Isabella played with a piece of soft fleece and even tried to bite it so her mouth must be better too! She is still stuffed up and sneezing but not near as bad as she was. She even felt well enough to notice the introoder Dooney in our yard...
Daddy and I are glad both of them are finally on the mend. Mommy is a lousy patient anyway let alone when she is up most the night listening to Isabella. Sick plus tired equals cranky! The mood did lighten considerably when Isabella played and was more alert yesterday. I'm still staying away from her and I promise to leave her alone today while Mommy is at her show too. We do want to pass along thanks for all the purrs!

How was your weekend?

Hope you're doing well today!

PeeS: Mommy here: We don't know what caused the cuts on Isabella's nose and probably never will. The dental specialist is at a different vet's office than our regular one and she pretty much said any follow up will be done with our regular vet who I talked to on Friday. I told her about Isabella's nose and she was pretty shocked and didn't know what would've caused it unless whatever was used to give Isabella the inhaler twice during the procedure had a sharp edge that cut her. She was concerned about Isabella's URI but knew the Clavamox would start working which it finally did. Isabella has been eating her wet food since the night of her dental but we hadn't seen her drink water until yesterday. The vet had said that drinking or eating closes off the only way she could breathe so we could expect to see her back off of those. Isabella certainly didn't back off from food though which was a good sign so seeing her drink was a great sign! Her daddy and I feel so bad for putting her through all this but it's a relief knowing her teeth won't hurt her any more and she'll never have to go through another dental again! Now if we can just keep Angel from catching the URI all will be great once again!

Another Show Day...

Mommy is all packed up and ready to go to her craft show today. Before she takes these bins, I'm gonna check things out up here. I was born about 6 feet too short because I just love to be as high as I can get...
I sure wish I could get way up there...
Hey Mirror Kitty, will you lend me a paw and boost me up higher?
Okay, obviously I need another plan...
Well, it doesn't matter anyway because Mommy took the bins away. Since she's not here to help us do a post plus our Grandpa from Kansas is visiting us, we're going to take tomorrow off. We'll be back on Sadieday though because it's a special one.

Hope you have a great couple of days!

Which End is Up?

Here we go again when Mommy is getting so busy she says she doesn't know which end is up.  As we've shown in the past, I thought only Isabella felt this way...
Anyway, Mommy has another craft show tomorrow then Daddy's birthday is Saturday then our Grandpa from Kansas is coming next Tuesday then Mommy has another craft show next Thursday so she's beyond beady bonkers!  I've been doing what I can to help...
She wasn't too pleased though.  I scooched over but she still claims there's a missing heart thingy under my floof.  I don't see it, do you?
She's just not very appreciative.  With my help we finished them though...
What would she do without me?

Because of everything Mommy has going on she might not be able to help us blog so we'll be taking another blogcation.  If we can figure out the laptop we might post some before Monday but if not, we'll see you then!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Weekend Wrap Up

Whew!  What a weekend!  We were abandoned all day Friday while Mommy went to her craft show.  It was in a town 30 minutes away so she got up extra early to set up and carry the stuff in four trips from her car in the 24 degree weather all by herself.  Cue the violins here.  This is what half of her table looked like...
She got stuck by a goat's milk soap guy who annoyed her all day long by taking her customers!  When someone would stop at her table he would start talking to them and lull them to his table.  He got major stink eye all day long!  Oh well, we know that Pricilla's Happy Goats Farm makes the best goat's milk soap and her's are in cute shapes like this little mouse named Millie but we call Pipsqueak...
Anyway, she ended up having a pretty good show thanks to one lady who bought six of her bracelets!  We'll be busy helping her restock for her next two upcoming shows so we didn't do much of anything else the rest of the weekend except soak up the sunshine on the dining room/bead making/cat table...
Isabella did help Daddy go through recipes for Turkey day which was also exhausting since he decided to clean out the recipe pile too...
We better get in some naps while we can!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Here We Go Again...

Once again our Mommy is claiming to be too busy to help us blog.  What's up with priorities these days?  She's getting ready for her first craft show of the season this week so is going beady bonkers yet she's unappreciative of my help...
Unbelievable right?  Anyway, while she's too "busy", we might not be able to post or comment much until next week.   Thankfully we have some sunpuddles here so I'll be hanging out on my sunny Ess...
We hope you have a great rest of the week and we'll get back as soon as we can!

The Smell of Success!

From the smell of it, Mommy had a good show yesterday! She appreciated all the wishes of luck from our blog furiends!
It was her very first "on her own" show since she shared a little space with a friend at a show in September but nothing like yesterday's show.
The dogs on the end are modeling ruffled dog collars that our Grandma made. The collars (and the dogs) were a big hit and lots of dogs and one cat in town (not us!) are sporting ruffles today!
Quite a few people are decked out in new jewelry too - or will be after Christmas.
Since Mommy is happy that her first show went so well, we're happy too and hopefully we can all rest today now that the commotion is over.

Hope you have a restful Sunday too!

Not So Lazy Sunday!

What happens when you have a perfectionist, right brain challenged, CPA Mommy nearing a craft show deadline? Well, let's just say it ain't pretty! See all this stuff around me? The bags hold stuff for her displays and the tackle box type thingy holds all her beads. This needs to all get in order before the weekend is over. Can't you just see the enthusiasm on my face?
Hopefully by the end of today things will be better and we can relax a little and maybe even nap! She has been making lots of new things but not all of them are in her BeadedTail shop on Etsy yet since she hasn't had time to take pictures of efurrything to get them listed. I'll show you a few of the things she's making though.

These earrings are made with pawprint beads she had made for her exclusively. Aren't they purrty? They are on Etsy and can be seen by clicking here.
These earrings are like a colorful Tortie color don't ya think? Okay, maybe not but they are on Etsy too and can be seen by clicking here.
We like purrple around here so she made these fun earrings.
We also like hearts so I really like these little heart earrings. They are furry petite but furry cute! They're also on Etsy and can be seen by clicking here.
And the last ones are these circles and Swarovski pearl earrings. They dangle so are fun to play with - not that I would know though!
So, as you can see, she's been busy and this week she's making new necklaces and bracelets since her show is next Saturday. In other words, no lazy days for us yet! If you have suggestions or see anything you like, just let her know!

Weekend Wrap-up

Our mommy is taking over the blog today to tell us about her craft show this weekend but be sure to tune in tomorrow for a Tortie Telling Tuesday and we'll fill you in on what happened at home while mommy was gone. She doesn't know about it yet and we really don't want her to know but we'll tell you tomorrow! Anyway, we'll turn the blog over to mommy for today only...

I participated in my very first craft show this weekend at Village Green Gardens in Cottage Grove, OR. I think I slept about 4 hours Friday night in anticipation of the show and woke up to this sight from my home office (I don't usually see sunrises as I prefer to be sleeping at that time of day)!
Anyway, I was asked to be in this show by a fellow Etsyian, Michelle from SissySoap. She and her sister Maranda were there with their soap and had extra space so let me show my BeadedTail jewelry there. Here's my display:
Here's all the wonderful soapy/body care goodies from SissySoap:
Saturday was overcast and rainy but Sunday was sunny, 70 degrees and gorgeous! We had a great time, had a lot of lookers, several buyers and tons of compliments! In addition to selling, I also took an opportunity to check out the gardens and other sights, which were gorgeous.
The flowers were beautiful!
And the dogs were adorable!
I also did a little shopping and I also found this bag that I tried really, really hard to resist but I just couldn't. It is just so cute that I HAD to have it! Sadie checked it over to see if it moo'd.
Angel asked "Got milk?".
We had a great weekend and now I've caught the craft show bug! I learned a lot this weekend and hope to do more shows this fall. Thanks so much to Michelle and Maranda for letting me "tail" along! I appreciate it!
