Stroll with Sadie

Yay it's Sadieday! I've been looking forward to today all week! Are you ready for a Sadieday stroll with me? Well then, let's go!
I love going on any stroll but strolls through trees are always fun...
For some reason though, Mommy keeps mumbling something about me wearing out my snooter from sniffing every single tree...
She just doesn't understand that this is a tree-lined information highway of pee-mail. Ha roo roo! Whoa! Look at all those trees!
I think I just found the Super Highway!
I had fun on my stroll today and hope you did too!
Be sure to get outside and enjoy nature's messages this Sadieday!

Observations...

Have you noticed that fall trees...
are nature's Torties?
Maybe that's why they are so beautiful!

Hope you have a lovely Fall day!

Stick-y Situation

We had a recent experience with nature! We got our very own stick to play with! Well, I think that's what Mommy thought we'd want to do with it but we weren't so sure but we checked it out anyway.
It does move kinda funny when you whap it.
It breaks when you put the bitey on it too.
It doesn't have any catnip in it though.
What fun is it without Nip Mommy?
Sticks are for the birds!

We hope you have fun with your stick or whatever else you want to play with this Monday!

Earth Day 2010

Since today is Earth Day, we thought we'd celebrate some of our favorite things about this Earth like feeling the warm sunshine on my furs while laying on my cute Mickey Mouse ears over the world blankie.
Sadie enjoys the beauty of nature in the backyard and especially on strolls through the forest.
And Angel enjoys munching on homegrown green kitty grass.
We all do our part to go green for the Earth like eating natural foods and playing with CasbahKitten toys made with ecofelt and kitty grown catnip. Mommy and Daddy recycle everything they can and try to make a small carbon footprint. We love this Earth and hope it stays beautiful for many generations to come!

Do you have any tips to go green?

True Nature

We're all having a lazy Sunday but we wanted to show you what Mommy and Daddy saw along the highway last weekend. We'll actually let Mommy do the post today so we'll go nap while she does...

Mombean here: Last Sunday as we were driving along a highway, we saw two hawks on the side of the road. One hawk had its wings outstretched, the other was standing in front of it. Of course I immediately thought one of them had been hit by a car and needed help so we turned around to go back to check on them and call the Chintimimi Wildlife Rehabiliation if necessary. When we came back one hawk was now sitting up on a power line and the one with outstretched wings had moved off the shoulder of the road more and we noticed blood on its chest so I was thinking the worst. I called Chintimini but got voicemail so we pulled up closer to see if we could do something.
As we watched the hawk to determine if it was hurt because of its outstretched wings we realized it was eating something so was just protecting its meal.
I had never seen anything like this before and it was quite incredible to see nature in action. Hawks are truly beautiful, powerful and intelligent birds of prey and no, the cats didn't even ask why we didn't bring one home after they saw our photos!
