We don't normally decorate for the seasons because what comes out must go back and Mommy finds it much easier if it doesn't come out in the first place. This year though her friend, Laura, suggested a crafty day to make fun decorations. Okay, crafty and fun aren't usually in the same sentence for Mommy but she agreed. Last week they made scarecrows. Other than Laura's help with the bow, Mommy made it all by herself...
This week we knew what was going on when the crafty supplies came out so Isabella and I anxiously waited for Laura to show up...
They made a snowman on the backside of the scarecrow and I even helped Laura put the scarf on her snowman...
Full disclosure here, Laura helped with Mommy's scarf because she is clueless when it comes to working with ribbon or fabric. We also discovered that when she hot glues her thumb, HBO words are said with a leg kick for emphasis. Just sayin. Anyway, our Grandpa from Kansas will be here next week and he's in charge of hanging it up outside so all of the neighbors can see her creations.
Do you decorate for the seasons?
Have a great day in your neck of the woods!

We don't have much in the way of seasons down here in southern California! My human's version of decorating is to pick up some of the messes she makes, MOL!
I am craft-challenged, so kudos to your mom! I have to agree, though: What comes out must go back, so it's easier not to bother at all. I have a couple of table runners for fall and a couple of floral arrangements, but that's it, and every year I do less decorating for Christmas. This year I'm mightily tempted not to bother with my little tree--too much effort for just me and the boys! :-P
That is one terrific snowman. Good job keeping track of those ladies Angel, and we don't allow kisses either. We don't do much Holiday decoration any more. Have a great day.
I don't understand the need for these things but Mommy's came out very well - she draws good! How will this get hung up so that one side doesn't get wrecked while the other side is out for show?
Love the snowman. Too cute and you have two cute kitties to snoopervise. What could be better than that.
We don't decorate anymore. We are with you. If it comes out it has to go back. Don't want to do either.
Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and J and lots of scritches to the girls. ♥♥♥
I used to decorate for the seasons, but now, I procrastinate so much that I never do! I SHOULD! My neighbor across the hall does, and I always feel so guilty when I see her decorations on her door (but she doesn't make hers herself)......regardless, I should do it! I cracked up laughing with the HBO words and leg kick! xoxo catchatwithcarenandcody
How "crafty" to make something cute on both sides of the board!!! We love the scarecrow and the snowman. Mom loves to be crafty but isn't very good at it.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Very cute! I'm pretty terrible with ribbon and my mom always teases me about it because she's some sort of bow wizard.
hay ewe gals....we think yur mom did a grate job...bet her said de flounder werd huh ;)
I love this, it's so cute. I don't decorate as much as I used to. The other day I said HBO words when I burned the heck out of two fingers with hot glue. I can't remember if there were leg kicks too or not
Those are great! I always burn myself with the hot glue gun too.I usually love to decorate for Halloween, but right now I am not feeling it. Thank you for the kind words you left on my blog for the loss of Phoebe. XO
Tell your mom not to sell herself short...she is very creative. Those are adorable.
Mommy's snowman looks adorable and that scarecrow doesn't look scary at all :) Happy Friday!
Your mommy and Laura did a great job with these! I love that they're double-sided so when they do come out, they get to stay out for longer before they get put away. (I'm the same way with seasonal decor!)
Girls, I know you are the ones who REALLY did that punkin!
ha! that sounds like me when I bead and stab myself .... plenty of explanations and a leg kick (or two!)
