Holding Down the Fort, uh, Cushion

Fall and winter in our area are rainy so on days when the sun shines Mommy and Daddy scramble to do outdoorsy stuff like pick up leaves or clean the deck.  When it came time to bring in the cushions until spring, we helped out by holding them down and making sure they were ready to be put into storage...
This is an important step since it needs to be properly smooshed...
It's an exhausting job but somekitty has to do it...
Looks like more cushions are on their way in to be smooshed...
There's no rest for the weary until the rain comes once again.

Do you have to plan your days around Mother Nature in your neck of the woods too?

Hope you don't work too hard today!
Angel and Isabella

PeeS:  The shabby chic chair in yesterday's post really was done by Isabella.  Angel doesn't scratch anything but the scratching posts around the house.  Isabella doesn't know how to use those so she uses the chair. *sigh*

Hee hee. Daddy was initially horrified when Mommy said she wanted to get cat trees and scratching pads / boxes for us but relented after watching Jackson Galaxy. With so many options to scratch, we leave their recliners alone. Much to Daddy's relief.

The monsoon season is here so it's hot in the morning then heavy rain and winds in the afternoon, flooding our catio! Bird and Squirrel TV has also been interrupted. :(

I think your humans should have left those cushions out so you could keep checking on them all through the winter!

P.S. Funny how it's the torties who do the chair art. I never do that type of work either.

Great job!

Plus if a wind comes into the house, you kitties are holding down those pillows so they don't blow away!

Same type of weather here, so we need to hurry with raking the leaves when there's a dry if not sunny day!
Those cushions look sooo comfy. Sammy would think it's a new cat bed :)

Good smoohsing girls! looks like hard work :)

We got several inches of snow last night! so yes I had to work around mother nature by getting up an extra hour early to get my car out of the driveway and catch my 6:15am train. sigh

You two are doing such a good job holding those cushions down. Angel, glad you live up to your name and don't decorate the furniture. Hope all of you have a great day.

Hard working kitties!

The kitties here are very good about using their scratching posts and skratchkabin. Which is good....

You both look so very tired too. I think your mom is working you way too hard.

Isabella...don't scratch moms chair. Just saying.

We just stay in when it's raining outside. We live in California so we don't really get a lot of rain.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your mom. :)

Those cushions got put away here this week too, but the Momster didn't let us near them - something about SomePup wanting to destuff them:(

We don't have enough leaves here to mound them up at the street edge, but we bet Sadie had lots of fun zooming through the ones there.

" pick up leaves or clean the deck" outdoorsy stuff? Isn't that what wind and rain are for? There could be giant killer bugs out there, it's best just leaf them be. At least that must be 'That Woman's' idea since our yard only gets cleaned up when the gardeners bring the blowy thingys and we all run under the bed!

The cushions remind me of putting ours away too:

We were working out in the yard yesterday and Hobbes got accidentally locked in the shed! Joe went out to look for him and heard all the meowing in the shed. Poor guy! He didn't want to go back outside all night.
