It's Tortie Tuesday, the bestest day of the week! In honor of Independence Day tomorrow, I thought I'd show you my all-American Tortie portrait...
Anyway, since tomorrow is the 4th of July, fireworks might start going off tonight so we hope everybuddy stays safe inside. We'll be huddled downstairs because my sisfur Angel gets scairt. Nothing bothers me. Ever. Mommy has been giving her Rescue Remedy all week to hopefully calm her so we'll see. I haven't had any since Mommy says I'm so mellow I'd turn into a Tortie slug. Whatever.

Mommy just loves looking at you, Isabella. You're such a beautiful Tortie. Stay safe, girls. We hope your neighbor's cat will stay indoors these next few nights.
I hope the Rescue Remedy helps. I am counting on my Calming Collar to help me get through the next couple of days.

We think we hear the phone ringing. Isabella - must be the Smithsonian now. This gorgeous photo put you in thr front running for a spot at the museum.
With it being as dry as it is here, we are hoping the humans are smart enough to leave the fireworks to the professionals.

PeeEssWoo: Enjoy the fireworks from The RB Angel Sadie - I'm sure they don't bother 'us' any more. I'll probably be hunkered down in the laundry room or maybe even go to bed...I do think Mom will take the flashie beastie out and rekhord 'em again.

I always turn the air conditioner on, whether we need it or not. That seems to help a little bit. We don't like fireworks here either. Especially since everything is so dry this year--I'm waiting for the 'hood to go up like the Chicago fire.

Ha ROO! What an awesome portrait, Isabella! Maybe it's not in the Smithsonian - but it SHOULD be! Maybe the French (Poodles) stole it and put it in the Louvre! They're sneaky like that!
Great advice about staying INSIDE! Dave and I don't mind the fireworks too much - especially if we're inside.

We love your portrait, Isabella. And we hope the boomers aren't too scary for Angel. We've been hearing them too...but since it's so hot and the a/c is on, all our windows are closed so the boomers aren't too loud.
That does belong in the Smithsonian Isabella. I love your portrait.
Even if your mommy did give you some of that remedy and it made you a slug at least you would be a good old American made slug :)
