Birthday Bash Begins!

I'm going to be 8 years old this Sunday, August 3rd, so I'm declaring a 3 day birthday bash to celebrate!  I'll have treats, whipped cream, lots of naps, window whiffs and maybe deaded a mousie or two!  To kick off my birthday bash you gotta see me when I first came home to my furever family at 3 months old...

You can see how little I was next to Isabella who is 7 months older than me...

Of course I was much smaller than my big sisfur Sadie was...

Wasn't I an adorable baby?  I'm still adorable today!

Instead of getting presents for my birthday, I'm having a commenthon to help animals still waiting for their forever homes.  For each comment on this post over the next three days, we'll put $1 towards the purchase of treats, toys and bedding for cats and dogs at Heartland Humane Society which is where I picked my Mommy from.  Your comments will help make my birthday a happy one while also making other kitties and woofies happy too!  Yay!

2,000 Posts and a Commenthon on Tortie Tuesday!

It's Tortie Tuesday and it's also our 2,000th post!  That's certainly cause for celebration!  We've come a long way from when Mommy started this blog back on January 5, 2008 to talk about her BeadTail shop.  Yeah, that snoozefest got zero to two comments so she didn't do much with the blog until April when she she posted this story and photo about my little sisfur Angel and got a whooping 5 comments...

She continued to post about her shop and even some travel related posts about our area but she eventually figured out we were much better at doing posts than she is so we took over along with our angel sisfur Sadie.  Sadie even helped by modeling her jewelry like this purple necklace...

Of course I'm the supermodel of the family so I modeled lots of things like this pouch...

And this ornament...

But, even supermodels get bored...

We are happy yet amazed that we still have things to say although some days are harder than others.  We are very thankful to have such wonderful friends that visit from all over the world too!  To show our appreciation we're going to have a commenthon with $1 for every comment through midnight PDT tonight being donated to Senior Dog Rescue in our sisfur Sadie's honor.  

Thanks to everybody who visits and keeps us going!  We are more grateful than we can say!  We hope we give you a smile and we hope you spread those smiles around!

Weekend Wrap Up

Thanks everybuddy for the Gotcha Day wishes and comments for our commenthon!  We had a great day doing a whole lotta nothing which is our purrfect kind of day!   Doing a whole lotta nothing makes a kitty tired though.

It's Our 7th Gotcha Day Celebration!

Seven years ago, November 3, 2006, we were welcomed into our furever home by our Mommy, Daddy and angel sisfurs KC and Sadie!  Who knew that day would change all our lives so much!  When we were adopted, my sisfur Isabella was 9 1/2 months old and I was 3 months old but from the beginning we were inseparable...

Even our sisfur Sadie eventually enjoyed hanging out with us too no matter how much she wanted everyone to think otherwise...

We couldn't have asked for a better family and eventually we'll probably welcome another furry member but right now we're enjoying each having a lap to ourselves!

If you'd like to read the whole story of how we came to be part of this family, you can click here for Isabella's story and here for mine but today we want to celebrate our Gotcha Day and help out other animals waiting for their furever homes.  Some of our friends from Texas have started a new rescue called Furry Friends Animal Rescue so we're going to donate $1 to them for every comment on this post from now until midnight Pacific time Sunday night.  

We hope you enjoy extra treats, smooches, scritches and lots of smiles in our honor since we are all lucky to have such wonderful furever families!  Remember to spread those smiles around too!

Celebrating on Sadieday!

Happy Sadieday!  It's a very special day because 6 years ago today we were gotcha'd by our Mommy and Daddy to come live with them and our angel woofie sisfurs Sadie and KC!   Here we are a few weeks after that first day recreating how we were brought home...

We actually each had our own carrier but they were box carriers provided by the humane society because Mommy and Daddy hadn't planned on Gotcha'ing any kitties at all.  Guess you can say we were surprises!  But when I fell into Daddy's arms as soon as he opened my cage, there was no way I was going to let him leave without me and of course, he couldn't resist this face...

Then my little sisfur put the moves on Mommy and won her heart too...

So we came home with them and met our two sisfurs.  The cats before us ran from dogs and when we didn't it confused them.  Sadie and Angel became buddies from Day 1 though...

It didn't take long before we knew we had a cushy, well-loved life...

Since we were so lucky to be Gotcha'd into such a good family we want to help other kitties who are still waiting for their furever families so we're going to donate $1 for every comment on this post until our next post on Monday to Tabby's Place.
