We hope you had a good week and that our U.S. friends had a Happy 4th! We've enjoyed our staycation with the peeps although we could've done without the fireworks going until after 11pm on the 4th. One of us hid in the basement while the other kept Mommy company...
Other than that we watched the squirrels chasing each other around a tree. You can kinda see one of them on the top of the tree trunk...
Of course Daddy took Mommy to her happy place again. Most beaches were packed with tourists but they went to their secret beach where they had it all to themselves...
Daddy had to go to back to work yesterday but we have a few more days of relaxation before we go back to work with Mommy on Tuesday. Next week is going to get hot here - mid to upper 80s - so we will be sure to enjoy open window whiffs before then.
How has your week been?
Hope you have a great weekend!

How cool that your humans have a secret beach! Those are a necessity in the summer, aren't they?
Your mommy and daddy are lucky that they have a secret beach and don't have to deal with the crowds.
We've got the mid to upper 80 temps now and it's been like this for over a week now. I think it's supposed to be a little cooler the next couple days but the weatherman makes mistakes all the time so who knows.
Glad you are getting some window whiffins. Isabella, you are just such a pretty tortie. All of you have a really nice day.
A secret beach! Wow, that's amazing. What a wonderful spot to be.
Our week has been h*llishly hot and humid, though today and through the weekend we'll get a bit of break, thank goodness.
Take care, enjoy the weekend!
We don't like fireworks here either. A thunderstorm rolled in just as it got dark, so we had the thunder/fireworks combo going. Both cats were under beds.
Glad you had a nice week relaxing and having the windows open.
We are currently in the tail-end of a triple digit heat wave - but it will break starting on Saturday so we will have open windows for a few days because Tuesday the heat wave rolls back in in *sigh*
The forth was pretty nice weather but the next day it was very hot again. When you live in a desert it's hot during the summer. We stayed home all week except for the trip we took to see our granddaughter and great granddaughter. A good week. We didn't care for all the fireworks either. We found the remains of a bottle rocket at our house. I don't like illegal fireworks one bit.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Big hug to you and J and tons of scritches to the girls. ♥♥♥

Ah, we love sleeping on the widow ledges when the windows are open. Our Humans very thoughtfully had extra wide window ledges built in our house as some of the tribe are, err....a bit portly.

staycations are the best!! LOVE that sunshiny photo! And...OMC how did your Mom and Dad ever find their own secret beach? That is too cool!!
Sounds like you had the purrfect staycation. Well, except for those fireworks.
the water looks lovely. and so do you all!

You girls are looking soft, smoochable and oh so beautiful. Mom said she'd sure love to hold you.
That secret beach looks SO INVITING!
What is it with people and fireworks, anyway?
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
We had very hot weather last week, and just today it's taking a turn for the better. Lexy and I were enjoying open windows and nice breezes today.
My mom's poor dog and horse really don't like fireworks, either. =(
