Weekend Wrap Up

We don't normally notice weekends but last week was so long we (aka somemommy) really needed a nice weekend. Of course we made sure she did! Isabella didn't even sleep through movie night, instead she stared at mommy...
Whenever Mommy went outside, I kept tabs on her...
It all worked and she had a really good weekend! She and a friend got supplies for a new crafty project they're starting soon. She also got the nerve up to make bread and butter pickles for the first time ever...
Now before you think she's all domesticated or something, Daddy had to chop up the cucumbers and onions for her but she did stir the ingredients and mix them together. She says they turned out pretty good for her first try. What I thought was good was relaxing with her after all that hard work...
What's also good is that our friends in Florida are all safe after the hurricane. The Hemingway kitties in Key West are also safe. We're so relieved but we're continuing to purr for all those effected as they clean up the aftermath of such a devastating storm.

How was your weekend?

Hope you have a great start to the week!
Angel

We still have a few friends we are a little worried about, but I'm glad the worst of Irma seems to be over.

What a great weekend you had. I have cousins and blog pals in Florida and have been praying that they are all safe

You guys had a great weekend! I've never attempted pickles, so I'm pretty impressed.

We've been watching coverage of Irma, and we've all been sending up our purrs and purrayers for the safety and well-being of all.

You two are so cute. You really are. I linked this post to Awww Mondays.

We too are hearing from friends who were in the path of Irma. Lots of places without electricity, but much better news than expected. That's the best part.

Have a purrfect day you two. My best to your mom and J. ♥♥♥

Girls, you are the best Keepers of the Mommy in OR! An example to the rest of us.

I was meowing to favorite brovver a few days ago wondering how the Hemingway cats were going to be saved! Me and Mommy were worried about them as well as all the peoples and other Anipals.

Your mom (and Dad) made PICKLES!!!!!!! That's awesome!
We had a good weekend! We napped and played with our pickles and Cammie came on a walk with us and we refused to pose for pictures and stuff. It was fun.

Super duper shots of both of you today, ladies!!! Mom loves bread and butter pickles with those tasty onions - yours looks pretty darn tasty to her.

I could help you eat those pickles if you'd like. :)

I am glad to hear that most of my friends in Florida are okay and so are their properties. Irma was so darn HUGE! Yikes. I just saw a video that the deer are okay and running around the keys now too.

Our weekend was nice! Spent a lot of time with good friends.

We are so glad that the Hemingway cats are all right. We are getting slammed right now with the
hurricane. Lots of wind and rain.

I'm usually not allowed to do much cutting with knives, even though I do most of the cooking!

This post got all the pieces of me. All the cuteness, all the hunger, all the worry. We're hoping for the best in Florida.
