Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday!  As you probably know by now, we help out a lot behind the scenes around here.  One of my jobs is to help Mommy on the computer.  It's really a tough job but somekitty has to do it...
Recently though Mommy found out she has disc degeneration in her spine.  I have no idea what that means other than her back hurts pretty bad if she sits too long so her doctor and her physical therapist both told her she has to get up every 30 minutes or so.  Do they not realize this can really mess up naps work?
Obviously I wasn't consulted so I'm going to go about my work as usual...
Don't want to mess up progress!

Hope you have a productive day!
Isabella

For all I know, my human could have disc problems and she would have no clue because she is always up and down out of her chair! No laptime here.

(Seriously, I hope your human is not suffering too much with her back issues - that type of thing is no fun, and I hope she does not need any operations or anything complicated!)

I hope your mommy's back feels better and I hope you get all your naps in :)

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that about your Mommy :(
My Mom has had that problem for ages, which is why she started Tai Chi. This gentle form of exercise really helps.
When I sew I get up pretty frequently since I need to iron in between, so I guess that's a good thing? Isabella, you're such a hard little worker ;-)

That sounds like quite the ouchie. We hope her doctor and physical therapist are able to help her feel better so your work doesn't get interrupted.

Poor Mommy! It's a good thing that she has you to help her with her work, and to keep her entertained when she takes her breaks.

Tell your mom to listen to her pt and do the exercises she's given! Purrs to her.

And we hope you get extra treats, Isabella, for working so hard!

My dad-person broke his back in a car accident 2 years ago , so he knows how important it is to listen to your pt and doctor !

I know you both help mom a lot. And napping is essential in helping.

Have a perrfect day. My best to your mom. :)

Oh. I have a back problem, too, so I feel for your mom. I must say, doing zoomies helps a lot - you should recommend that to her.
I hope you're not over-working, to compensate for her breaks! Pace yourself, Isabella!

Isabella your doing a fine job, you take good care of mommy as always, just give her a few extra purrs everyday, and a big purr from me.

Mommy I am right where you are only bit beyond unfortunately. I know the pain you are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you honey, and they will be always. God bless you honey, I am so sorry you are going through this, because it is a tough road to go down. I will put you on my prayer list and at our church's prayer list as well. Please follow what doc says, I know how hard it is to try to get your work done on the PC and have to keep getting up (big hassle), but please take good care of yourself sweetie.

Sharla, time for a stand-up desk! The ones we have at work are phenomenally good for my back. Of course, it does mean no laps for the kitties--bummer.

Oh my - I have that in a major way - so I can so empathize with your Mommy...She probably has some exercises to do and you might be able to help her with those!

I hope you feel better soon, or find ways to make yourself more comfortable Sharla! As for Isabella, mommy still loves you! :)

You might as well continue on as normal. At least ome of you will be rested! Sorry to hear of your mom's back. M has the same problem and it's a real "pain."

A girl I used to work with has that too. I know you will both help your mom out making sure that she doesn't sit too long even if it does mean cutting naps short.

Our Mom has the very same thing. It is extremely painful. So you two girls have to take good care of her now. Glad that it hasn't interrupted your naps Isabella. Take care.

Rose Clearfield said...

Clearly they did NOT realize how that would affect naps and other important things. Good thing you're still around to help keep things in order!

Poor Mommy. You and Angel need to put on your Nurse's hats and help mommy.

Well, I guess it is good to move around a bit...even for sleeping kitties. I hope Mommeh doesn't hurt too bad--that sounds painful.

All this computer sitting is a pain!

Oh no, poor Mom - please give her some gentle snooter smoochies from us. Our Dad has lots of back problems, including that degeneration stuff. We hope she can find some meds to help her feel better.

Meanwhile we think she will let you continue your naps work while she gets up to move around.

I'm sorry about your Mom's back! Hope the walking helps. You should get up and walk around with her to keep her company - I bet she'd like that. It's good for you too Bella! Love, Moon xoxo

We can see you're working really hard there, Isabella. We're sorry about your mom's back. We hope she can get some relief.

really! Your mommy getting up and down all day long can be startling to a sleeping kitty. This will surely keep your mommy awake too! {:-D

How difficult to have your nap--I mean work--interrupted!
I hope your mommy gets some relief from her new routine.

tell Mom to be really careful and do just what the PT says. My Mom who is older than those green apples I hear about, she has lower lumbar problems and gets injections like once a year...so she exercises every day...well...mostly...and works hard to not sit too long without stretching...sending Mom some purrs, Savannah
