Best Laid Plans

The sun is finally shining here in the Pacific Northwest which makes for perfect napping - even if Isabella is hogging the sunlight...
and the pawpawrazzi can't leave us alone...
and the birds are making a lot of noise...
Hmmm, I'm not getting much napping done, this is not what I had in mind.
Hey Angel, why'd you leave? Oh well, that means more birdies and sunshine for me!
Hope you have plenty of what you enjoy today!

PeeS: Please cross your paws and send some purrs for our sisfur Sadie because she's going to the v-e-t today to have a growth on her neck checked out. It's been bleeding and stuff so she's going to have it checked out to make sure it's not anything bad. Thank you!

UPDATE: Thanks for all the purrs! Sadie is home now and the vet said she has a large skin tag that has become irritated which made it break open and bleed and look icky. We're all glad it's nothing serious. Sadie's blood pressure is high - hopefully due to the vet visit and not to Cushings disease but the vet is consulting with another vet and will let us know. The vet also thought Sadie's fur was thinner and her undercoat wasn't as thick as usual and contributed it to Cushings. On a positive note, Sadie is now a "svelte" 91 lbs, down from 99 lbs at her last visit! Yes, she's a big girl and some have thought she has wolf in her genes but we think she's our perfect husky girl! Thanks again for all the positive thoughts! We were very worried since we've lost two pets to cancer so we appreciate it very much!

Well it looks like you young ladies need to take turns in that sunlit window.I am sure you do. It is nice to look out that window and see some sun. It is suppose to be rainy over here.
Now our family has gotten together to send some special love and healing in Sadie's direction. Hope the Vet visit goes well.

We're sending many many purrs to the lovely Miss Sadie - please keep us updated!

And we are so glad to see that the sun is out there! Some of our gardening cat friends live near you and they are having real problems because of the cold and rain.

P.S. We laughed when you called Franklin "Alfie" (Franklin considers this to be a compliment!) but we felt kind of bad that your mom got out of bed to apologize! After all - they are doppelgangers. Plus someone called Tasha "Isabella" the other day :) (Tasha considers this to be a compliment also.)

Hope the vet can fix Sadie's neck and that it heals quickly. Good luck Sadie.

You girls look lovely as usual. I am glad to read the update about Sadie. Mom went to a doctor today and her BP was sky high in the office, but fine later at home. Hope Sadie is the same.

Oh so glad to hear that Sadie's lump is nothing to worry about. Our kitty Mewmew has a growth kind of thing on her chin and have been told it was a skin tag but it sure looks funny.
But we are thrilled that you got such good news today. We are still sending you lots of purrs Sadie. We just think you are the best.
Poor Angel, you got the bad end of that deal but maybe tomorrow you can have the good seat.
You all take care and have a good rest of the day.

We checked back to see if there was an update, and we are very glad to hear that Sadie's bump was nothing serious. We're still sending purrs to her for successful management of her Cushing's disease.

P.S. Our mom has gotten high blood pressure readings several times at the doctor - and also at the dentist. But subsequent checks have shown that she does not have high blood pressure. We think she just gets nervous about going to the human V.E.T. (we can relate!)

I really hope Sadie gets to feeling better. You can be sure that she will be in my prayers.
If Sadie is anything like me, whenever I go to the doctor, my blood pressure always shoots WAY up...I have a bad case of white-coat phobia.

Whew, we are glad that Sadie's problem is only a skin tag! That is such good news - we were late getting here so we are just sending out some purrs and prayers that it heals up good - we are glad that they don't need to be more serious. We are also sending some for the blood pressure and fur issues - we hope they are just a combo of vet stress (for the pressure) and maybe summer being here (for the fur). Our mom said her blood pressure goes up at the people vet so she wouldn't be surprised if Sadie's was the same.

We are glad the sun is shining for you - we finally got it here too! Our mom said that the pacific northwest is beautiful when it is sunny (her grandpa lived there and it was always sunny when she would visit him - oh, and not that it isn't beautiful anyways). And we know that you must be happy to have sun puddles to sleep in and watch the birdies!

I think it did. Here's the short version:
Yea! Sadie's OK!
I had to get my BP rechecked because it was very high - and they took it on my tail instead and it was perfect! I relaxed better that way. If your mom would like more info, please have her zip us an email!!!
Angel and Isabella need a bigger bed! :)

Lots of love for Sadie, we are so glad things turned out ok. And congratulations to Sadie for losing weight - she is my inspiration! And hey you two pretty kitties - is there room for me? Love, Moon

The kitties look so cute snuggled together. Too bad Isabella was more interested in her nap than in snuggling.

We are glad to hear it was only a skin tag, but the blood pressure must be a concern. We do know that Dakota's bp was very high and she did have Cushing's. We tried her on several bp meds but none of them helped. If you need any more info, please feel free to ask - our email address is on our blog.

Yah! for Sadie. None of us want to hear that Sadie is ill. You take good care of yourself. We just had a small earthquake in our area yesterday so it was rather earth-shattering around here for the kitties. They are all back to normal today and sleeping as much as usual. Nice pics on your post. Deb =^..^=x6

We're glad you got some sunshine today even if your nap was interrupted. And we're glad Sadie's vet visit went well and that bump wasn't anything serious.

Wooos! We are so glad that Sadie is ok, I know all about being sickies and the vet, none of us wants that! I see Isabella got exactly what she wanted, but then again cats always do...
