With a title of Oregon Beauty we know you're thinking of the three of us but we decided to take a little break today and show the other kind of beauty here in Oregon. We'll begin with a spectacular sunset we woke up to one morning. We've been getting so much rain here, we forgot there was a sun until it reminded us so brilliantly!
Speaking of all that rain, it has been leaving some pretty rainbows though like this one we saw out our back window. Sadie said she'll look for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow on her next stroll...
Mommy and Daddy went to the Victorian Christmas at Heceta Head Lighthouse again this year. This was the view of the lightkeepers house when they got there at dusk (about 4:30pm)...
and the view as they walked up to the lighthouse...
Almost there...
Heceta Head is the most photographed lighthouse in Oregon and we can see why...
Mommy loves the coast but since she also loves kitties we'll show you a very friendly one she came across when visiting the Brigittine Monastery in Amity, OR to buy some fudge and truffles (which she says are delicious but we don't know since we can't have chocolate)...
That kitty may be cute but I know one that's cuter!
Hope you enjoyed seeing some of the beauty here in Oregon!

Hope you have a Happy Sunday!

That is very pretty scenery, but I'm sure your humans are also happy to have more beauty to come home to!

Beautiful! Especially that last photo! Y'all live in a very beautiful state no matter what time of year it is.
Pee Ess - We hope Sadie finds that pot of gold!

Gorgeous pictures. We love light houses. The sunrise and rainbow were fantastic. What a wonderful place.
Have a good weekend and enjoy the truffles.

Those are gorgeous pictures and the lighthouse is lovely. Sadie we sure want to go on the stroll with you when you are looking for the rainbow pot. And Angel you are the cutest ever except maybe for Isabella.
PS, Hugo is going to Brians and he is leaving tomorrow since it isn't very far. We are sad.
Take care.

I didn't know there was any other kind of beauty in Oregon besides you girls. That lighthouse is fabulous. I think those would look great framed and hanging on a wall

Beautiful photos, especially the one with the rainbow :)
And yes, although the other kitty is cute, Angel is the real Oregon Beauty!

I've never been to Oregon, but it looks beautiful! And that kitty is cute too - of course, Angel, you are so beautiful!

Angel darling, YOU are the cutest ever!

I loved seeing where you live. I hope mommy does that again soon.

Those photos from around the lighthouse are gorgeous - so is that fluffy kitty in the last picture :)

You got some really great pictures.
We just love living in Oregon too.
A bit wet sometimes...but that's how we stay so green!!

Don't you just love that fudge :)

It is very pretty there in Oregon! I'm jealous--where we live it isn't so scenic. :( I'll just have to live vicariously through you. Keep those scenic photos coming!

Lovely scenes. Angel, you are a true beauty!

I was born and raised in Tillamook, Oregon. The average rainfall was 90+ inches a year. Still is I'm sure. As soon as I could I moved to San Diego, CA and enjoyed the wonderful weather. I hated all the rain. It's a beautiful state, but the rain was so very depressing. I'm glad you are enjoying the rain.

Have a terrific day. :)

It is very pretty in your part of the world, and so GREEN...different from our earth tone palette.
Sadie, good luck with the pot o'gold!

It really is very beautiful there, we loved seeing the lighthouse and the rainbow. Mom and Dad just talked to our brother in the LA area and they are just getting flooded with rain and rain and more rain.

And yes, Angel, you are definitely a lot cuter.

Angel, you are the most beautiful! And so is that lighthouse. I don't know why I keep thinking that ya'll are in Washington. I know it is Oregon but I keep forgetting. My memory must be slipping in my 30s!

Linda Pruitt said... December 20, 2010 at 11:53 AM

I haven't been to the Oregon Coast in a while--I'm missing it! Lovely pictures, especially the lighthouse!
