Tortie Tuesday

I'm spending my day recovering from a trip to the v-e-t yesterday evening.  I got loaded up and taken to a v-e-t that I've never been to before.  It started off okay as the lady with blue finger nails kept petting me and telling me how beautiful I am...
But then the door opened and the v-e-t came in....
Although the v-e-t also told me how beautiful I am, she did a WHOLE lot more than just pet me and I sure let everybody know how I felt about it!  I never meow or hiss at home but I was yowling and hissing up a storm when they took me in the back for an x-ray and then they stole my bloods!  Mommy and Daddy wasn't sure it was me they heard since I hardly ever make a peep at home!

Anyway, the reason I went is Mommy and Daddy are concerned that the old v-e-t has me on prednisolone for asthma without ever testing me for it.  That's why I had to endure the x-ray.  Daddy will get a call with the results today - the initial look showed my lungs are clear so she's having a radiologist look at them today.

I'd appreciate positive thoughts that all is well with me on the inside since we all know my outside is beautiful!

Hope you have a great Tortie Tuesday!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday so I decided today would be the purrfect day to return from our short blogcation.  We spent lots of time relaxing over our break but I also was taken to the dreaded v-e-t and they stole my bloods since I have to go have my teefs cleaned and have a cyst removed from my neck.  Anyway, Daddy took me in but I wasn't able to see my regular vet and the one I did see was flat out rude!  Per the scale there I have actually lost 1 lb which is more than we thought so Daddy was very happy but the vet wasn't impressed and said I should have lost more!  She said I was too fat! Then she said my legs were so fat she had a hard time stealing my bloods.  Daddy was taken aback and I was very surprised at her rudeness but obviously she was jealous of my Tortieness...
I am extremely mellow and nothing gets me riled up but I didn't like her at all and wanted Daddy to say something to her but he wouldn't.  He was afraid if he said what he was thinking she'd do something mean to me and he didn't want anything to happen to me.  He did say that I am never, ever going back to that vet unless it's an extreme emergency and nobody else is available.  Anyway, my regular vet called with the test results and my blood work was all good although my thyroid is a little low so we have to watch that.  I'd rather just watch birdies...
Have you ever dealt with a rude vet?  What do your beans do?  Mommy wanted to call her and tell her where to go (she wouldn't tell me where though) but she also worried about retaliation so what's a kitty to do? *sigh*

Hope your Tortie Tuesday is filled with only pleasant things!
