Checking In

Well, our mommy and daddy are back from Maui but they're not quite functional yet. Something about three hours time difference and a white floofy alarm clock going off at o'dark thirty. Whatever. Anyway, we did take a peek at what they did on their trip and most of their photos are of them which they won't sign a waiver for us to show so here's the sunset outside their condo...
Of course there's beach photos...
And even a feral kitty from a stop halfway to Hana...
They had a really nice anniversary trip and enjoyed everything about it but they did discover some things about they car they drove...
1. They're too old to get in and out of it.
2. The trunk is tiny.
3. The back seat is even tinier.
4. They need the A/C on even when the top was down.
5. Black leather seats get really hot when the top is down burning somemommy's booty! MOL!

Anyway, we'll still be posting every so often this month so please be patient with us!

What's been going on in your neck of the woods?

Happy Monday!

Furry Alarm Clock

Usually Mommy and Daddy are up at o'dark early every day but lately with Daddy's messed up work schedule she's gotten into the habit of sleeping in until 7am!  Can you believe that?  My theory is if there's light outside there better be fresh foods in my dish so I paw her forehead until she stirs and then wait for her to get up so I'm the first thing she sees...
I always have to be the alarm clock because if it was up to some other kitty, well, let's just say I'd starve...
What are you looking at?  Is it noon yet?
See what I mean?  It's a good thing I'm always on duty!

Do you have furry alarms clocks or furry snooze buttons in your house?

Hope you enjoy a long day awake today!

My Alarm Clock is a Cat!

This is from my archives way back when I was just starting my blog but it is once again applicable since the cooler weather is here. I hope you enjoy! My alarm clock is a cat named Angel. Everyday without fail she goes off at 5am. She's a full body alarm clock that starts at my feet and walks up my entire body and across my pillow, often pulling my hair along the way, and then back down to my feet again. Some days she starts on my pillow, goes down to my feet and back up. Either way, she does the trick, she wakes me up. After going through all that, she wants me to lift up the covers so she can go down to my feet where she curls up and then starts her "motor". Many people have white noise machines that play sounds of the ocean or babbling brooks but there is no more relaxing sound in the world than my alarm clock's purr of a motor. This purr and soft fur against my skin are what makes my alarm clock something I actually look forward to every morning. Now if I can only figure out a way to change the time on it for a couple of hours later!
