April 15th Finally!

Boy are we glad today is finally here! We made it to tax day and only have one more return to do - Mommy and Daddy's tax return! They're going to owe this year so she doesn't want to do it. It's a good thing we're on the job though! Anyway, since the last time we posted, we've had quite a bit happen. First of all, let me update you on what's been going on with me...
Turns out I'm allergic to the pills for hyperthyroidism too. My head was all itchy but not as bad as it was on the transdermal stuff. I scratched myself so bad that I had open sores for about a week but it's healed up and just a few little scabs remain. The vet says that I'm not a candidate for the radioactive iodine therapy because although my kidney levels are normal, they're on the high end of normal and something about iodine therapy would mean that if I developed kidney issues in the future, it wouldn't be treatable. So, I'm not on any treatment right now and I'll be tested every 6 months to check my levels and weigh options if anything changes. This news stressed Mommy out but she knows I can't tolerate the medication and she doesn't want to do anything to risk kidney issues in the future.

Isabella is doing fine on the meds, is hungry all the time (like normal) and sleeps a lot (like normal) so she's, well, normal...
Lexi is doing fine too. She's still crazypants but there are finally more moments of calmness than there used to be. Now that she's 11 months old, she sleeps a lot more which is a good thing...
Anyway, that's a bit of what's been going on here. We'll be back to regular visits now that we're not buried in tax returns. Thank you for being patient with us! We can't wait to catch up again!

We hope you have a great Tax Day!
Angel

I was thinking about you the other day and saying it's getting close to the end of tax season. I'm doing a happy dance with you.

Sorry you can't take that medicine Angel. I'm sure they will figure out what you can take.

It's good to know Isabella in well, normal.

Lexi is adorable and yes she'll quit swinging on the chandeliers at some point.

Have a fabulous day and week. My best to your peeps. ♥♥♥

Mom got back a lot more than she expected and even questioned (in a manner of speaking) the CPS's receptionist as to what happened. we can't itemize so it wasn't that. *flips tail* Oh well.

Yay for the end of tax season!

If your mom is open to it, perhaps she could look into homeopathic meds that would be of help (support your organs), since you can't take the meds. We're pretty sure that Cheri managed at least one of her fur babies that way for quite a long time. Supposedly there is or was food to support cats with hyperthyroidism too, though maybe you're already eating that.

Anyway, it's nice to see you all back again!

Angel Hi!! My Mom and Dad owed this year too but they paid last week and you know what? The IRS cashed that sucker super fast! My Mom wanted to know how you found out you have hyperthyroidism? I had bloodwork done for my senior exam and the Vet said my thyroid came out in the "gray" area...He said I was at 2.9 and that the gray area is from 2.3 to 4.7.........He said normal is .8-4.7. Right now he isn't medicating me and is going to check me in 6 months. If your Mom reads this and has any advice for my Mom, she would greatly appreciate it! Love, Cody

Poor Angel. Sumi has been on meds most of her life. She turns 17 next month! She had issues with the meds as well, but we reduced it in half. Now she can tolerate it. Purring for Angel, that she feels better soon. ((hugs))
