Almost Done!

Phew! We've been MIA for quite awhile! This tax season has been been one of the worst we've ever worked through because of new tax laws coupled with new software. Oh, and a puppy...
Lexi tolerates taxes when she's sleeping but when she's awake, she has ants in her pants! She's still leashed to the desk most days because she's stealthy and leaves the room when we're sleeping working and gets into things she's not supposed to like our foods. Mommy isn't too keen on her looking out the sliding glass door in the bedroom and barking at the neighbor either. The neighbor doesn't hear her but we all have to be peeled from the ceiling. Anyway, she gets better every day but we're all glad when Daddy comes home and puppy sits so we can get the warm spot work done...
One last update on us. We're both on the same meds for hyperthyroidism but Angel was on the transdermal kind. Well, she had a really bad reaction that caused her to scratch her head so bad it was bright pink and covered with open sores. The vet said to stop the meds for a week to see if she gets better and then give it to her again to see if it's really the meds causing it. Since nothing else had changed, there's no way Mommy is going to experiment on her and possibly cause it to happen again so Angel will be getting the same pills as me. We get them in pill pockets because it's easy for me to swallow half of a pill pocket since I have no teeth. Angel turns into the Tasmanian devil when given a pill but she doesn't know it's in a pill pocket. Hopefully this continues to work for my little sisfur. Anyway, that's a quick update on us. Only two more weeks for the end of tax season so please be patient with us!

Hope all is going well with you!
Isabella

I bet your mom is happy tax season will be over soon.
I still have to keep Gibbs in the same room as me to prevent bad things...lol He's also a big barker and it drives me crazy.
So sorry to hear about Angel's reaction to the pills she was taking. Hope she's all better now

We're glad your tax season is almost over. Here in Canada the filing deadline is April 30th, but our human netfiled for the first time, did it yesterday.

Lexi's pretty darned adorable when she's sleeping. Haha. And you two are always adorable!

I expect nothing from you during tax season. I know how it goes. Zane is going to file ours today I think.

Lexi is full of vim and vigor and will until the puppy stage is over. It's going to be a while.

Thanks for the update on the kitties. You get older you need medicine. Oh well.

I linked this post to Awww Mondays.

Have a great day, my friend. Scritches to the furbabies. ♥♥♥

Yikes! sounds like a rough tax season for sure! I'm glad it is almost over. Lexi is really growing up and her silly puppiness shouldn't last too much longer....right? Right?? Well...we can only hope.

SO good to see you girls and know how you are. Admiral's ear looked dirty-like from that transdermal stuff. But she pretty much refused pill pockets after the first few times. Katie won't have anything at all to do with them. Love you sleeping beauties.

I am ashamed my taxes are not done. That sounds like an awful reaction to the transdermal. KaTwo tried that one, but it didn't work for her. I can't pill her so I manage to get the compounded liquid one into her-most of the time :) I get scratched a lot.

Yum, Pill Pockets! We're sure glad they do the trick for both of you -- I love the kind for pups!
Lexi needs a playmate. You should send her over here!
Yours sincerely,

Paws crossed that the pill pockets continue to work for Angel! My human is disgusted by this tax season - nothing to do with the new laws, but with a company she owned stock in that was bought out by another company - and the stupid company did it in a way that she will have to pay capital gains! It is a big enough chunk of change that she will actually have to sell the stock to pay for it. So she is totally annoyed and not sorry to see that company out of her life for good.

I have been thinking of you girls! I'm sorry to hear you both need medication. I hope the pill doesn't cause as many side effects. Lexi is too cute laying there :) Hope Mommy takes enough breaks during this "taxing" time.
