Happy 4th of July!

In honor of Independence Day here in the USA, I thought I'd show you my all-American Tortie portrait...
I know what you're thinking, my portrait should be hanging in the Smithsonian's American Art Museum. I think so too but I haven't been contacted by anyone in D.C. yet.

Anyway, since it's the 4th of July, we hope everybuddy stays safe inside.  So far the fireworks here haven't been too bad so paws crossed tonight goes okay too. We'll be huddled downstairs just in case because my sisfur Angel gets scairt.  Nothing bothers me.  Ever. Well, except for my naps being disrupted.

Have there been many fireworks in your neck of the woods yet?

Hope you have a picture perfect Tortie Tuesday!
Happy 4th of July!
Isabella

We're lucky that mostly any fireworks are far away around here! They're illegal, and we live in a fire zone, so we don't get a lot of them. Happy Fourth!

Those people at the Smithsonian have dropped the ball. They better get moving and contact you about your portrait soon.
We had fireworks here last night and Gibbs barked at the first loud boom. After that he was ok. I thought it was going to be non stop barking the entire time they were going off

Ha, the portrait is brilliant! :-)

Happy Fourth of July to you all! We had lots of fireworks here on the 1st, for Canada's 150th birthday, but we were pretty much unfazed. The noise kept the human awake, though. :-P

Oh Isabella, that is one terrific portrait and certainly should be put everywhere. What a great picture. WE sure wish all of you a very Happy Fourth. Hopefully we won't get too many fireworks here. You all have a great great day.

Tonight will be noisy around here. Always is. We don't have our precious Little Bit anymore so not a big deal for us. I wish it was though. We sure miss our Little Bit.

Have a purrfect Independence day. My best to Angel, your mom and J. ♥♥♥

Hi Beaut]iful., Happy 4th and yes, you should be spotlighted in important museums. You didn't see what I posted about your mommy post before this one. She might come after me with a broom.

Happy 4th! That is a most appropriate box too. We have heard some , but they were muffled because we have the a/c on and the windows are shut.

that is such a darling photo! We were surprised that we didn't have many fireworks last night, but we are sure tonight will be a different story. Have a happy, safe and quiet 4th!!

There have been TONS here - super loud! And guess what? Yesterday, the new neighbor's cat ran off -- but she ran right to our fenced-in yard! We're glad she knows it's safe in there. Her girl came to our door and introduced herself and asked Mom and Dad if she could please go in the yard. They unlocked the gates for her and she got her kit-cat back, safe and sound. WHEW! Mom said she was a very pretty dark Calico kit-cat! I'm sure glad she's OK!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
PS: I got two big boxes today!!!!!!!!!! Come over and box with me!!!!

Your portrait is as lovely as ever, Isabella. We hope you don't have any big booms there. So far Misty doesn't seem bothered by them, and Lightning says he is OK with them as long as there are no bikes involved - he is terrified of bicycles.

Happy Fourth of July!!!

Isabella, you are a stunning homegrown tortie. Love this photo. Maybe you need to send it to the Smithsonian. Wishing you all a safe, quiet and happy Independence Day. It is raining and thundery here, so fireworks may be postponed until tomorrow. Humans will watch them on TV. Fireworks in Chicago are typically a two-week affair around the fourth. Drives me (and the kitties) nuts. There were a few M80's that drove Owen under our bed...but we are surviving so far.

Happy 4th of July. It won't be long now before the fireworks start. And we'll be under the bed.jk

Hope you survived the fireworks! We don't like those at all and get scared too :-/
