Weekend Wrap Up

We hope you had a great weekend! Even though we had the hots, I enjoyed a sunpuddle...
Angel enjoyed the sunlight too until Mommy made her move. Something about direct sun, too hot, blah, blah, blah. Mommy's a spoilsport...
After we had some thunder yesterday and Angel hid somewhere that Mommy couldn't find her, we're not looking forward to this coming week. Fireworks don't scare me but they terrify Angel. The neighbor kid shot off lots of fireworks last year so Mommy is preparing for this year in case he does it again. Angel can hear fireworks (and delivery trucks) from miles away so there's nothing that can drown out the booms from next door. The only thing Mommy knows to use is Rescue Remedy which helps some. Do you have any other suggestions to help make this a less stressful week for Angel (and Mommy)?

Anyway, we hope you have a wonderful day!
Isabella

No hots over here (yet).
My mom-person visited the Modern art museum here in town on the caturday and yesterday she was on a outdoor opera concert a couple of miles from home :)

No ideas on how to help Angel other than holding my paws crossed for NO fireworks !!

XOXO

I wish I had some suggestions! There were fireworks in the neighborhood Sunday night, and my human is planning to stay close by on the 4th too, since this is my first Independence Day with her, but you know what? Last night's noise didn't bother me at all, and I doubt the next round will either. We are just cool kitties here.

We don't like loud noises either. Hopefully, we won't have any loud booms on the 4th. We don't have any suggestions as to what to do. Good luck Angel.

we have the hots here too, but we just had a rain storm come in that cool things down just a bit. Our Cleo always hated thunder, fireworks and especially doorbells .... Halloween was pretty much the worst night of the year for her (especially when you get 100+ kids!)

Lots of hot temps here too, but so far not as bad as we know it will get.

Oh yes, those darn fireworks. Have you tried the felliway diffusers? Mom says she thinks they make a collar too. Or you can spray it on a bandana that Angel might wear. Maybe your vet has some ideas.

Good luck. We will be working hard to keep Ciara stress-free too.

We are not looking forward to the fireworks either. Our Little Bit hates fireworks too. I so get it Angel.

it's hot here too- BUT we live far away from any fireworks which are also only allowed at "official" firework shows= the fire danger is too high and folks who think they can shoot them off will be reminded by our men and women in blue.
I would play music for your cats- it always helps our Lucy when we have high winds.

Could Mommy take some Rescue Remedy too?

we've never had to worry about fireworks since all the dogs and cats we've had have never been bothered by them. We don't have any suggestions.

Iabella, Angel needs you to protect her. But one way may be to go lay a bitey on that boy! Maybe his hand? Heeeee

The people around here seem to think firework time starts in early June and goes til almost August, it's crazy! We hope you get through them all without too much stress

It's no fun having to hide from the thunder and fireworks and noisy trucks. Would it help if Angel were in a carrier where she feels safe?

This is a tough week for kitties, I think the Rescue Remedy is a good idea. Phoebe hides under the covers on the bed for hours when it rains or for fireworks, the vacuum, etc. Fireworks are illegal in Mass., but people go to NH and bring them back. We live less than a mile from a lake so we hear a lot of them.

We feel for Angel. Grayce about comes unglued with thunderstorms, it's a good thing we live in the desert. She recommends hiding behind the toilet; it works for her!

Aw, poor Angel. All we can suggest is that your mom keep all the windows closed so the noise isn't too loud. We're expecting a lot of noise this week and weekend too. Fortunately, we aren't bothered by fireworks too much.

Angel, we are happy your mom is keeping you out of that direct sunlight. No other suggestions for the fireworks. Our remedy for anything loud that we don't like is usually just to be in the house and maybe go under the bed or Dad's closet. Hope it isn't too bad this year.
