Happy last Sadieday of 2013! Since our Mommy will soon be turning into the full-time tax kind of CPA (blech) instead of the full-time CPA (Cat's Purrsonal Assistant) that we enjoy most of the year, it's a good time to remind everyone that there's only a few days left to maximize your income tax deductions while bringing smiles. Curious?
Well, of course we're talking about donating to charities. Even if you don't itemize or need any deductions, cash donations or donations of non-cash items like cat food, dog food, toys or other helpful items to shelters, the charities would be very appreciative and your heart will be happy and a smile will be on your face!
We hope you find plenty to smile about this Sadieday! Be sure to spread those smiles around since you never know who's day you'll brighten with a smile!

So glad that you reminded us of this today...I do have several bags I wanted to donate before the end of the year!! I also have to make a stop at our local shelter to drop off stuff for our furry friends!! Happy SadieDay! xo Chloe and LadyBug
My human just dropped her annual Huge Wad of Money on Best Friends today! She only donates to animal causes (and occasionally to disaster relief), although someday she hopes to help with film preservation, which is a passion of hers. She likes that when she gives money, she gives her heart too.

We've actually been cleaning out all the closets, etc...and have a box for the local shelter's thrift store, plus a box of old towels for the shelter!!

If I may, I've done this before and it may work for someone else. I pledged to donate/match the adoption fees for the first adoptee each month at our shelter. It's a feel good thing, and a kinda pay it forward for our two adopted kitties...if I can help someone else get a fur baby then...by all means, donate!!!

Towels and blankets are a great idea for the shelter...had never thought of that! Trying to get last minute deductions figured out!
