PSA on Sadieday

Happy Sadieday!  The weather is getting warmer which means more open windows and doors so we thought we'd do a PSA about staying safe while still getting fresh air whiffs.  Our mommy is a worry wart so she advises to check the screens on all your windows to make sure no kitty gets out...

On second floor windows, Mommy won't open them very far since she thinks we'll jump for a birdie and fall out.  You can't hardly tell the window is even open but it is - just a smidgen!  Told ya she's a worry wart...

For the woofies going on strolls, make sure your humans are leashed up and that your collar is secure.  Mommy was put to the test on this a year ago today while strolling with our sisfur Sadie and a dog came barreling towards them...

Nobuddy was hurt except for everybody's ears from Mommy's screaming HBO words at that dog for scaring her to death.  The dog didn't care though...

Anyway, it's been a long wait for nice weather so we just wanted to remind everybuddy to be careful so no kitty or woofie gets loose or hurt!  We do hope you're able to enjoy some fresh air whiffs this Sadieday!

As always, smile and spread those smiles to others and help make their day!

Have a great Sadieday and weekend!

You ladies have a very good mummy for taking such good care of you. Rumblemum is very much the same - we are not allowed out on the deck unless we're in our Kritter Kondo!

Not too long ago, my human had a handyman come out and secure lots of our window screens! That means more fresh air, and better Bird TV for us!

For that very reason, our windows do not get opened at all. Two Two would have a hole in that screen in a skinny minute. Our Mom is a huge worry wart too. That was all such good advice. Have a great day.

Mommy used to think the windows were secure with all those mosquito nettings until Boomer figured out how to slide those netting open and snuck out! Mommy realized it very early (so no other cats got out) and managed to coax Boomer home (he was still at the porch) with the help of some treats!
We remember that day when that funny little dog came charging at Sadie and your Mommy. That picture of Sadie looking at that doggy upside down is so funny!

Whoa, that certainly is scary when you see a dog off leash charging at you like that! Glad no one was hurt!!

I think my cast would just push that window open more and go out if not for a screen.

Wish it was getting warmer here too!
Great advice! Sammy doesn't "do" outdoors, thank goodness, but I worry about the other kitties. I'm always so relieved to see them!

Great PSA, safety first all the time. It looks to us like that pup wanted to be Sadie's friend. But Mom says it is never easy to tell what is going to happen when a loose dog comes barreling at you.

BB tends to hang off the screens - not only does it ruin the screens but falling from the 3rd floor is not something I want to see happen...

We are just as much worrywarts as you are. If we don't take care of our babies no one else will.

Have a terrific Sadieday. Scritches to the babies. :)

We enjoyed a beautiful day yesterday...and Harley enjoyed the mud!
We always check his leash on a regular basis since he has to be leashed up when he plays outside.

I get so scared too, so I can just imagine screaming like heck myself. But your right, all humans should be on their leashes when we go for a stroll.

Happy Sadieday, and I hope you have a wonderful week too. Give all my love to all the furbabies :-)

God bless,
Jody

Thanks for the PSA! The Baby has to be watched when she goes out for her morning constitutional--there's a red-tailed hawk who patrols every day around 10 AM. Mommy watches for it, well, like a hawk!

So jealous that you're already able to open windows! The little guys around here are so anxious for that to happen.

I think all mommy's say HBO words every now and then....lol
Good tips for staying safe. That must have been scary when that dog came running at your mom and Sadie

That is one sweet pic of that dog rolling over to say hello. We miss Sadie so much. But we're glad you lady cats are looking furry well.

Oh, hey sweet sweet Sadie.. how impressive the way Sadie did handle that dog.. Jack would have been very ill tempered at a dog coming barreling towards him! not to mention - me too, lol!
