Summer Treats!

Summer time is wonderful because of the sun and fun but it's also a time for summer treats! One of the choices of the current EtsyBloggers blog carnival is to share a favorite recipe. I don't cook although I love to bake, but a hot oven during the summer heat is not a good idea. So one of our favorite cool treats is Caramel Apple Salad.
This incredibly easy recipe is low fat but tastes sinful. The recipe is:

Caramel Apple Salad

20 oz can of crushed pineapple
1 small package of sugar free/fat free butterscotch pudding
6-8 apples chopped to the size you prefer (I use Red Delicious and I don't even peel them)
8 oz Cool Whip Free

Mix all the ingredients together and store in the refrigerator. That's it!

Sadie loves a chunk or two of apple!
Angel loves Cool Whip! Notice the feets in the top left and the shadow lurking.
Yep, it's the Cool Whip monster who swooped in too quick for a photo!

This looks great! People are always asking our mom to bring a dessert to things and she can never think of anything, so she appreciates it.

I've got bunco at my house next week, and that is the perfect recipe! Thanks for sharing. I'm thinking it would be a perfect dessert even though it's called a salad!
