Weekend Wrap Up

We hope you had a great weekend! We had another sunny, open window Fall weekend which is prime for watching birdies...
When I wasn't looking out windows, I was playing with new toys Mommy got from a craft show...
I'm the kind of kitty that likes to have fun so I love all kinds of toys...
One thing I don't love is going to the v-e-t but that's something I had to do recently too. Daddy took me and sent this pic to Mommy...
He hasn't figured out that a ladycat doesn't like to publicize her weight! Anyway, I'm healthy as far as nothing major is wrong with me. I do have a slight heart murmur which is supposedly common in kitties my age and up, I'm 12. This freaks my Mommy out but the test results are good so I'm okay. The vet who examined me felt my thyroid gland so wanted my levels tested. It's 3.5. We have to wait and see if that level warrants any further action since he was out when the results came back so another vet called Daddy. The waiting freaks Mommy out. I'll also need to have a dental and have at least two teeth removed. This freaks Mommy out too. So, other than freaking out Mommy, I choose to see that I'm a healthy kitty with lots of years left to watch birdies, play with toys, cuddle, love and be loved!

How was your weekend?

Hope you have lots to look forward to today!
Angel

Angel, your human freaks out a lot - which I understand, because so does mine! If the vet thinks that you need some meds for your thyroid, they will prescribe them, and there's not much else she can do until then, and you are healthy in every other way! So tell her to stop worrying so much because worrying won't solve anything. (MOL, try telling my human that.)

No open windows here. It's way too cold for that and the furnace has been kicking on enough with the windows closed.
Glad your vet visit went well.

Yeah, getting old isn't for sissies - feline or human.

LOL. Well, your mom freaks out a lot, Angel, but then, so does ours! Humans seem to be like that. However, it seems you're in good health overall, and you're certainly a good weight, we think. (Admittedly, we're uh, overfed and overweight.)

Anyway, we had a good weekend with our human--she had been away for a few days last week, got back Friday evening, and we stuck to her like glue! :-)

Angel, most Mommies do freak out. Glad everything else is all right. They do have medicine for thyroid. So just keep playing with those great toys.

You are so cute Angel. You really are. I'm glad your vet visit went well. I didn't know you were 12 though. You look like a young kitty.

I linked this post to Awww Mondays as always.

We cruised to Rio Vista for the weekend and had a great time with our yacht club.

Have a purrfect day. My best to Isabella, Lexie and your mom and dad. ♥♥♥

We had a good weekend because there weren't any workers here. Except for Mom and Dad, who did a ton of stuff. But we don't have to be restrained when Mom and Dad are working!
Yours sincerely,

We hope your vet's analysis of your report has all good things to tell Mom. We absolutely love that first photo of you.

You are healthy! The fact is, as my vet has said, most cats lose some teeth with age, and they really can live without any teeth at all as long as people are feeding them.

If the thyroid is off, it's a small pill once or twice a day usually. We had a cat at the shelter that needed a pill twice a day, we'd pop it in a pill pocket and he was thrilled.

Sorry you need some teeth removed. The tooth fairy will send you some gifts. And I will pray all goes well. XO

Dentists... pagh! Feline and human alike... I don't think we like going there much.

What pretty eyes you have .....

Hang in there Mommy ....

Sorry you have to have teeth pulled. I didn't realize they did that to kitties. Yet another reminder I haven't called my dentist. Geesh! Happy you could have you windows open and enjoy sunshine and birdies. Been too cold here for windows open; but the sun is out today which is a nice change of pace.

OMC. Your mom is like ours..she freaks out all the time. We hope your thyroid is okay. Wally was just diagnosed with hyperT and is on medication for it. If you do need medicine, tell you mom to talk to ours and she can share her and Wally’s experience with it.

Sounds like a great weekend if you get to see some birdies outside. Plus you were having so much fun with all your new toys. Happy to see that you are a healthy kitty, but need some stuff done to make sure you are ok. We hope your mom doesn't have to worry about anything. Thanks for sharing the lovely photos. Have a great day.
