UPDATE: I'm Home!

What the halibut is that thing?
Ignore my little sisfur. She's a drama kitty. Yeah, she hissed at me but she can't bop me with this stupid thing around my neck so she can hiss away. Anyway, the vet stole ALL my teefs! Granted I didn't have many left but she took all I had! Seems that I had stomatitis which Mommy suspected long ago but our regular vet would never diagnose it. The dental specialist took x-rays today and she could tell by my roots that I had it so she had to steal all my teefs. She gave me really good pain stuff that lasts for three days so I feel okay right now. I hate the stupid cone and it comes between me and my foods so Mommy fed me with a spoon...
Eventually she figured out she could turn a bowl upside down and put the food on the now right side up bottom and I can reach it. The vet said for me not to eat much but I missed 16 two meals so here's what I think of that!
Thanks to everyone for the purrs and prayers! The next week or two will be a challenge for all of us but I'm looking forward to feeling better soon!

Hope your day was better than mine!
Isabella

PeeS: I was given an inhaler twice by the anesthesiologist during the procedure. They were just as precautions but Mommy and Daddy were glad she was paying close enough attention to be proactive. Everyone treated me very nice and answered all the questions my peeps had this morning and then when they picked me up. The final cost was $2,099.23 and I'm worth every penny!

And here we thought that you were supposed to lose teeth so the tooth fairy can come to bring YOU money, not have someone take all your green papers.

We are glad you are home and alert. Too bad about that cone, but all in due time. We know your Mommy will give you lots of extra hugs and kisses. Take care, sweet kitty.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

Woos - Ciara and Lightning and Mom too

All your teefs got stolen? Ouch! Take care and take it easy.

How come if those vets stole your teefs did they also have to be paid money? It just doesn't make sense!

Oh Isabella! We're glad everything went well but we're sorry you lost all your teefs. Ernie knows all about wearing that lampshade thingy. He said it was a real struggle trying to eat but he managed. And Wally hissed at him too. He thought Ernie was an alien!

We're purring you feel better real soon.

At that price, they should have replaced your teeth with gold ones, Isabella. We are so thankful today on Thanksgiving that you came through your surgery with no complications. Getting fed by a spoon sounds pretty good. Sorry about the cone. We are sending lots of purrs and prayers that your mouth heals quickly. Awww I suspected that you must have had stomatitis with all your teef issues. You and my angel tortie Ms. Phoebe have a lot in common, as she had asthma and stomatitis too. We went through two rounds of it for her sister ÄŒerny was diagnosed with it within a year of Phoebe- doubling the bill you have. Of course just like you they were worth every penny and more.
I wouldn't worry about having no teefs as both my girls healed fast and eventually ate both dry and wet noms- their little gums learned to nom up the dry too. I have no doubt as a champion eater you will find your way sweetie.
We wish you a speedy and smooth recovery and a stress and worry free one for Mommy and Daddy.
Clove, Kaspars, & Mom
