'How To Speak Cat' - Book Review and Giveaway!

We were given the opportunity to review Natural Geographic's book How to Speak Cat: A Guide to Decoding Cat Language...
President and CEO of the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA, Gary Weitzman, DVM, serves as a guide throughout this book.    Although How to Speak Cat is aimed at kids ages 8-12, adults will enjoy the interesting commentary and beautiful photos...
How to Speak Cat discusses all things about us cats like our whiskers, tails, eyes, expressions, meows and yowls.  Wanna know why we do head butting and face rubbing?  It's in there!
Do you know what I'm feeling right now?
Scattered through the pages are Kitty Cases which describe scenarios then asks the reader questions and follows up with resolutions.  There's also training tips, quizzes, history and information on cats and fur colors.  This book sure covers all things cats and illustrates that kitties may be complex but we're all the same in certain ways...
We did disagree with one part of the book that says that kitties don't like tummy rubs.  We LOVE tummy rubs and we're pretty sure we're not the only ones!

We give How to Speak Cat four paws up and we're sure you will too!  We have the opportunity to give a copy of this book away to one of our readers!  We're sorry to our international friends but the giveaway is only available to those in the United States.  The book will be mailed directly from the publicity company so make sure we have a way to contact you.  Please enter below.  Good luck!

Have a wonderful Spring weekend!

Cats are so much harder to read than dogs! Mama kitty has way more mood swings...lol!
But she does enjoy tummy rubs as well :)

This sounds like a really great book!
We do not like tummy rubs, but the mom knew a cat at the shelter that loved them!

Does it really tell you how to understand kitties? Frankie talks up a storm but honestly, I never know what she wants - and she definitely wants something!

I wonder if that would come in handy for us?!?

That's sounds like a great book, and Mikey, #1 Son's cat, loves tummy rubs, too! The other cats done, though.

We think it would be cool if our mommy learned to speak cat. Then we wouldn't have to work so hard at telling her what we want.
Love,
Lola and Lexy

Sounds like a great book. Cat-speak is a bit difficult but not impossible to learn. The book could help all crazy cat peeps.

I'd love to learn what the cats see that I don't when they jump as if pouncing on something invisible.
