Wednesday Wildlife

While in Colorado last week, Mommy went on a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park and saw that despite notices to not feed the wildlife, someone had given this little guy a cracker.  She told him it wasn't polite to eat with his mouth open...
Your mouth is still open buddy!
That's much better...
He sure is a cute little booger!  On the other side of the size scale, Mommy saw this guy and even heard him bugle since it's rut season....
Even though she and Daddy lived in Colorado for 12 years, she'd never heard an elk bugle but do you think she got it on video?  Nope.  *sigh*

Have you heard an elk bugle before?

We hope you have a wild kind of day!

This is the first I've ever heard the word "bugle". Off to google that! Wonderful animals here. The chipmunk is very cute, even with his mouth open :)

That chipmunk guy sure needs some table manners! Mum says he's cute though *sigh*
Mum grew up in a national park and she says she's heard an Elk bugle. . .it's a really cool sound but kinda squeeky for such big guys. Your Mum was lucky to hear it.

What great pictures of the chipmunk eating his cracker. He sure enjoyed that cracker. Never seen or heard an elk do his bugle. Bet the Mom is glad to get back to her kitties.

This human hasn't heard an elk bugle before! In fact, I'm not sure I knew they even made a noise.

Great wildlife pics! That's a trip I would like. I do enjoy seeing deer though as I walk through our neighborhood.

That's a great shot of the chippie. One sits right by our patio door every day and I try to get him, but the screen is always there. M said she's never heard an Elk bugle - we don't have Elk around here.

Nope, no elks - been around moose tho. Chipmunks are hilarious aren't they? So cute!

We don't even know what an elk bugle is!

I'm guessing it was not a lovely song that elk was singing. :)

LOVE the little chipmunk. I like how they fill their little cheeks with food.

Tomorrow....the story (sorta) goes up on my blog. I have two cousins who I unfriended on FB because of their posts. I didn't want to say too much in case they check the blog. It's really a boring story, but I know a lot of people are asking about the kittens. :P

That little chippermonk is the very cutest thing ever. We see them only on occasion around here and not in our neighborhood. Mom says she's never seen an elk in person. Your mommy takes the besets photos. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Mommy said no, she hasn't BUT there are elk in these here Hills. So, you never know. They were re-introduced into the Smokies and beyond. They are flourishing.
