Weekend Wrap Up

Boy am I glad that weekend is over!  What started out as a lovely holiday weekend relaxing with my sisfur Isabella...
Made a turn for the worse at noon on Friday when the neighbor kids started shooting off fireworks!
Those may look like little fireworks but they whistle really, really loud!  The worst part is as the day goes on those little fireworks turn into BIG fireworks that make huge booms!  Here's their stash the next day - two bags full and the monsters in front...
Is it safe to come out yet?
Thank Cod that's over for another year!  Of course Isabella didn't even notice anything was going on.  She's weird.

How was your weekend?

Hope you have a nice and quiet Monday!
Angel

PeeS:  Mommy ended up giving me three doses of Rescue Remedy, turned on two loud fans and kept me upstairs away from the noise out front but I still kept hiding in the closet.  When it got quiet I did come out for treats which is something I've never done on the 4th in the past. There were just a few fireworks in the neighborhood the rest of the weekend but not from the kid next door so I ran but then quickly came back out.  Maybe this was because of the Rescue Remedy?  Either way, I definitely prefer there to NOT be fireworks. Ever!

Fireworks are illegal here! So while it doesn't mean there aren't any at all, there are a lot less than other places.

Fireworks are the worst for pets. Poor kitties. We're glad it's over and thank goodness Mommy had Rescue Remedy on hand!

My goodness. That's quite a stash! Why people enjoy watching their money go up in smoke is beyond us.

We're glad you did better this year with all the noise and it does sound like the Rescue Remedy had a part in it.

Glad to hear that the Rescue Remedy was helpful.
The town I live in sets off fireworks from the local park and we can see them really well from our back yard. Duke was out there with us and he doesn't mind the sound one bit.

Aww - that noise bothers me too. BB could not care less but Miss Frankie hid under the bed - the booms went on long into the night.

We had fireworks in our neighbourhood on Canada Day, so loud it sounded like it was on our street. But someone on the bus told our human it was closer to them (several streets away). We've had kids in the neighbourhood setting off firecrackers in the trees behind the parking spaces, though, in past years. Stupid kids.

So we're glad it's over for you and that you got through yours relatively unscathed. We hope it *was* the Rescue Remedy that helped!

Our Little Bit hates the fireworks too Angel. We went to the boat where it's been a safe place for years. Not this year. Way loud. Our Little Bit doesn't want fireworks either. Ever.

I linked you to Awww Mondays because I said Awww when I saw the photographs.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥♥♥

In Sweden you have to be 18 years old to buy fireworks and firecracker´s are forbidden.
I was in a "jail" ALL weekend long and my humans was away and having fun :(
But I did give my mom-person the happytail when she came to take me home :)

It was really loud here both Friday and Saturday. Poor Zoey is so scared of the loud noises, she hid under the couch...and it's a really tight fit under there! We're SO glad the holiday weekend is over now.

I hate fireworks. I really hate the ones that the jackasses in the neighborhood shoot off. And those darn M80's. ugh.

Mean Old Man used to have his kids over for the 4th and it was a nightmare for all of us. One year, Colin had strep throat and was miserable. I wanted to kill that man as he was lighting off M80's while my kid was trying to sleep off his fever.

they are illegal here, but that doesn't stop them. And the cops do NOTHING about it. :(

I'm with you, Angel. I wish I fit in the closet.

sorry you had such a stressful time. the fireworks don't bother me but then we live up high and the noise is pretty far away. good to know your mama takes care of you and helps you feel safe.

Angel, that first photo looks as if you are cradling Isabella in your arms. Mom says that is absolutely so precious. Wow, we would have been crazy if all those fireworks were going on next door to us. It sounds as if the closet was the place to be. Glad y'all survived. I think many of us are in your shoes. Down the block we also had some neighbors shooting fire works. They were loud but did a great job.

How terrible! Hope things are back to normal - you shouldn't be hiding - you should be where everyone can see your pretty face. Love, Moon xoxo
