We recently discovered there's some trouble brewing in our neighborhood. The trash man said he thought he saw a cougar in our cul-de-sac! Soon after Mommy and Daddy found this out, I heard this conversation:
Mommy: You're going to have to go out with Sadie in case there's a cougar around.
Daddy: And what am I supposed to do if there's one out there?
Mommy: Keep it away from Sadie of course!
I'm glad Mommy has the right priorites but if there's a cougar around, I need to be on full alert...
I take my Guard Dog duties very seriously and have figured out how to multi-task by looking out straight ahead while sniffing to the right...
Hey, I think my superb Guard Dog skills found something suspicious lurking in our backyard...
Well, it's not a cougar but it's an introoder nonetheless...
We're going to stay on high cougar alert until we know for sure if one's around. Daddy will be brave and go out with me at night and I'll try not to test him by making him take me out at 2am!

Oh wow ! Do you have Cougars around where you live ??!!
Oh no! Now I'm worried about the neighbor kitty, hanging around outside unsupervised with cougars about! Sadie, you need to tell that kitty to go back inside and stay there!
Oh dear! That's so scary. At least your Daddy has you to protect him. I hope the kitty you saw outside has a home and will STAY indoors! The poor little strays. Keep safe, everyone!

Hope that cougar doesn't come by your house. I think if it does, your dad should bring you back in quick. Wouldn't want it hurting your dad either! The critter I have to watch out for is skunks on my early morning walks.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! Make sure all the kits are safe, and yoo, and yoor beans. And the introoder kits. In fact just STAY SAFE, all of yoo!
Oh... be very careful. Technically, cougars are kitties, but they don't act like us. Be safe.

I would make sure you make a LOT Of noise before you go outside and try not to go out in the middle of the night. I don't think those cougars are easily scared off.

We have cougars around our neck of the woods as well. Not good for outdoor kitties and puppies! That is one reason why my cat is an indoor cat...we don't want him to be somebodys lunch!

Oh gosh, please be careful. My next door neighbors dog who is a dachshund was attacked by cuyote and is all right but her throat was cut pretty bad. Sadie, you might have to wait for daylight and not go out in the dark for a while. Stay safe.
Oh my gosh that is sooo scary - best to stay close to home. And someone please tell the humans of the intruder kitty to keep that kitty inside! Dang, what's wrong with people?

I hope you and your daddy don't run into any cougars on your walks. Good eye on spotting that intruder. It may not be a cougar but at least you know you have a good eye

They are so lucky to have such a brave watch dog.
Now Sadie, you and your dad and mom are going to have to be careful. I guess the cougar has intruded because his habitat is so invaded it's hard to find food. But I don't want you or your sisfurs to be dinner..and I don't want anything to happen to the cougar. Tell you what. All of you come here. No cougars but we do have black bears, BUT you can see and hear them coming. :-)

Several years ago at our old house, we had a cougar wandering around. It came down the alley by our house (caught this while watching the news. I thought that fence looked familiar). Very scary.
