Welcome to the first Friday Features for 2011! Today's features are from some of my Etsy Angel's teammates. This month the Etsy Angels are donating a portion of our sales to Ouachita River Valley Animal League (ORVAL) in Louisiana. The organization began in 1995 with the promise of trying to make the local shelter a better place by reducing the number of pets euthanized and by giving them resources and products to make the pets more comfortable during their limited time at the shelter. ORVAL quickly realized that a lot of animals were being surrendered because their owners could not afford vet bills. ORVAL then decided to add Vet Assistance to the list of services. Along with vet assistance, ORVAL also has a foster program to try to give pets, from the shelter, a longer and better chance of getting adopted.
My shop, BeadedTail, is donating 25% of all sales to ORVAL. You can see the list of Etsy Angels and their donation intentions on our team blog.
I hope you enjoy my picks!

This is such a great thing you are doing here!! The jewelry is just lovely... you are so talented and it just warms the heart how you give to animals from what you make. I'd love to feature you on one of my future "Edward posts" if that's okay with you.
many blessings,
Ann
That Tea Pot would be a great place to keep treats.

PeeEssWoo: Hi Sadie!
That is such a great thing to be doing. We are going to look some more. We are all for helping any shelter that we can and that sure sounds like a good one. That is a great group that you have, the Etsy Angels. I left a comment over there too. Thanks so much for doing this.
What a fabulous organization! I really
Iike the Vet Assistance program, it is so great that there is a program that helps people who cannot afford the vet bills, and therefore enables them to keep their beloved pets. Also love the fact that proceeds are going to keep the animals comfortable during their stay at the shelter. You and your group are certainly angels!
