Our mommy would love to replace the vertical blinds on the sliding glass door but we think they are purrfect since we don't have to walk to either end, burrow underneath or climb them in order to look outside...
She did paint them the color of the walls hoping they'd "disappear" but we make sure to put gaps in them to foil that idea.
Are there things in your house that remain the same for the convenience of the kids with (or without) fur?
Hope you have a great day!

The whole house was created with our convenience in mind. And if it wasn't, we made it work that way.
er...yes! chairs are moved to make it convenient for Sammy to hop on. Cushions are placed on strategic spots for extra comfort :)
Our Mom really wishes she could get rid of our old aquarium stand. She said it's bulky, old and an eyesore. We spend so much time in there though, that she keeps it for us!
We have vertical blinds too--I like them. For the convenience of our cats, I have my old winter coat in the computer chair that they like to lay on during the winter months.
Yeah ~ we're allowed our den-boxes in the hall, even though mom says they're unsightly! How can they ever be considered to be unsightly? :sigh:
Claudia has her own table behind the couch in front of the picture window. She can then just nose the curtain aside and look out.
Oh yes ~ one must always decorate around our furry friends. "Will this show pet hair? Will nails rip this? Would this be dangerous?" But, I wouldn't have it any other way.
To tell you the truth, I am more tolerant of Banjo's mishaps then I was of my son's when he was younger. He thinks I love the cat better. I tell him "I love you both equally..." ;)
Happy Thursday ladies!

I have a tree in my living-room. Need I say more? Hugs, Deb=^..^=x5
Oh yes, Angel. The whole house is arranged for the convenience of me, mommy's fur baby!
There are stair steps for me to get up on her lap (without using claws to shred mommy's legs)when she is at the computer. Padded area for me to nap..beds arranged for me to sleep on. Bathroom things arranged for my convenience...the list just goes on.

Oh, yes, most of the house is set up for our comfort! As it should be!
Angel likes our sliding glass door blinds, too. They are not my favorite thing either, but it isn't worth changing it!
Sometimes we leave the laundry baskets out Angel, even after we've finished doing the laundry. :)
Those blinds are convenient for looking outside at the Birdie network Angel! I have a footstool by the bed for getting up there cause the bedspread is slippery and I have no claws-once I fell and hurt my paw. Love, Moon
We have several cat beds, and pillows placed strategically around the house...some with views out the windows, some in cozy spots beneath the table or near the fireplace. We also have special snuggly cat blankets for the couch to sit on for TV watching!
That does look convenient, Angel! Very sweet of Mommy to leave the vertical blinds for you and your sisfurs!
I had those blinds in my old house. Finally had to sew custom window treatments because they drove my batty.
Now, my son has practically destroyed the blinds in two rooms. It is a great excuse to get rid of them:)
That's a cute shot of Angel! Yes, I have an old ratty comforter on my bed for my dog, Rob. In all our years of having dogs he is the first to be allowed on "the bed!" LOL
Cheers!

Angel, you sure have a sweet mommy :)
I'd love to get new furniture...but with Harley, the old is better!
Yeah, our house is pretty much set up for the cat's convenience - oh, you spoiled creatures!
Way too many to list, but we have finally trained the humans to leave the blinds on the floor to ceiling windows open at least a foot or so at the bottom so we can check the perimeter from inside too.
That's a great photo.

Angel, your 'tocks look so cute in that photo.
Round here, most things are done for my convenience.Maybe the funniest one is that I like my food bowls and water bowl to be far enough away from the wall or cabinets to be able to eat or drink from either side of them. And the humans have to step over or around them, as well as the bits of old food I leave on the floor. But they do it. And their bed is covered with a shabby looking flannel sheet on top of their pretty quilt, just for me.
We have 2 big speakers that have never been connected but mom keeps them next to the window for us.
Some doors stay khlosed fur some reason - not sure what's up with that!

PeeEssWoo: Hi Sadie! I met a beaWOOtiful yellow Lab gal named Sadie on my walk today!
well who's house is it anyway?....lol We are just allowed to live here and take care of things and bring home food and treats.
Painting them the same as the color of the walls? That is a clever idea!
The publicist wouldn't dare let us live in the house. She knows that we would take over in a heartbeat. That is why we have our barn.
Do vertical blinds taste good?
many things stay the same around here for the convenience of my hubby...and he's worth it - he's given a lot more than he has ever asked for in return!!!
p.s. i LOVE the photo!!!
Oh yeah...our mom would like to take the blanket off the chair we like to sleep on, but she knows we'd get our furs all over it so she leaves the blanket on it.
Just about everything in our house is for the convenience of our two cats. We keep an empty box in the dining room, because they like to sleep in it. We crack the back door open, so they can have fresh air (even when it is very cold out). We raise the blinds in our living room window, so they can sit in it and watch the birds... These are just a few of their favorite things :)
We had those kind of blinds-we liked em too but they are gone now...Teri said the indoor/outdoor carpet in the litterbox room isn't pretty but makes it easier for her to vacuum up the litter scatter so it stays...
