Changes...

The choices for the current EtsyBloggers blog carnival hosted by Storybeader are:
1) What are your new year's goals for your blog and/or shop- OR -
2) How are you organizing your business for paying taxes?A CPA, DIY, not participating, other.

Since I am a CPA, I could give a long, boring answer to number 2 and I'd for sure cure anyone of insomnia! To avoid too much nodding off, I'm going to discuss goals and changes for my blog in 2009.
Angel, Isabella and Sadie will continue to help me blog this upcoming year, however, my main goal for 2009 is to bring more awareness to animal related issues. Raising money for animal charities is the reason BeadedTail was started so I plan on focusing more attention to this goal. I haven't quite figured out the best way to do this but it will happen. In our shop, we continue to find new things to make and create to also serve this purpose. In our BeadedTail shop, we had 34 sales and donated $407 to animal charities in 2008 and we hope to increase this in 2009. Thanks to all our customers!

In order to keep me sane during the next few months, I have started posting theme days which I can pre-schedule and prepare for in advance. This helps me focus on what I need to post so hopefully I don't miss any days when I'm buried in tax returns.
As always, I will try to provide posts that our visitors enjoy reading and in our shop my mom and I try to make jewelry that animal lovers enjoy wearing. If you have any suggestions or comments on anything we do, feel free to click on that "Contact" page listed at the top of this page and send me a note!

Sounds like a great plan! I'm looking forward to your posts this coming year.

I would like to do more animal-related blog posts too - so far, all I've done is post about items people can buy that help animals. And I have started doing auto-publish too - mostly because I'm more inspired at some times than others :) It does make it easier but it is still hard to think of something to post every day - I admire your ability to do this. The theme day idea is a good one - still working on that myself.

Hope you are not too overburdened with work - I know this is a really busy time for you.

P.S. Wonderful photos of the lovely Isabella!

I also have been thinking about posting more on animal related issues and fund raising for certain charities, etc., for the animals blog, that was the reason I wanted to start that one too. How do we get so side tracked? lol! Anyways have a great Thursday.

What an awesome photo of Isabella. She is so cute looking right at us. How do you get any work done with the girls around?

BeadedTail, you have some great ideas. I need to post more about pet issues. So far I have mostly posted about wild birds.

I think it is so wonderful what you do to help all those animals who have no one to curl up with in the cold, or to scratch their little bellies. I hope your goals reach even higher this year to help the animals - you have 3 great helpers to start!
