It's finally Friday but also Mommy finally has some glacier photos she took on their Alaskan cruise last month! She had requests on Facebook to show these photos but she's been "too busy" to help us post them. Blah, blah, blah. Whatever. Anyway, these are in order of when they saw them starting with a shore excursion up to the Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau...
The day they were there it was cold, windy and rainy so it was hard to get good photos of it since Mommy's fingers were frozen! The next glacier they saw was from their stateroom balcony as they were sailing by. Can you see the house on the edge of the water?
On the last full day of the cruise they sailed up to the Hubbard Glacier and both Mommy and Daddy were awestruck as they saw this from their balcony...
The ship did two full slow circles so everyone could see the absolutely beautiful scenery (click on the photo to biggify)...
The ice on top of the water is about 350 feet high and there's another 250 feet of ice below the water too. The glacier was calving and each time it sounded like thunder. The ice falling off is approximately 600 years old and Mommy took a squizillion photos of each calving event but we'll just show one...
While they were there, the ship's captain sent some of the crew out to bring in an iceberg that they later carved into an ice sculpture. As you can tell, the icebergs near the ship were slighty too big for them to bring in...
These are just a small fraction of the photos Mommy took of the glaciers and their entire time in Alaska but we'll spare you any more! If there are any questions or requests to see something else, let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate them! Believe it or not, she has even more woofie photos! Ugh!
Hope you have cool glacier thoughts if it's hot in your neck of the woods!

The scenery is gorgeous! I was wondering about the little yellow boat! So did you get to see the sculptured piece?

Those are such amazing pictures! Mommy biggified them and tried to "cool off" by placing herself in the photos. Sadly, it didn't work and the effort of trying to cool off made her hotter. MOL!
