Tortie Tuesday

Happy Tortie Tuesday everyone! Before I get started, Angel wanted me to pass along her thanks for all the birthday wishes yesterday. We all made sure she had a great day which she certainly did. She even got a new scratcher for her birthday present. I've never quite got the grasp of a scratcher but she loves them and uses them up quite quickly. She was so happy to get a new one. Even though I don't understand it, I was glad she was so happy...
She's not on it yet today so I thought I'd see what's so great about the scratcher. I have claws but I don't make the popcorn popping sound like she can - mine sounds like a whole bunch of duds - but I can put my tail up in the air...
I'm doing all the same things she does but I just don't get it...
Even my tail is getting heavy...
Holy carp this is hard work...
Okay, that's enough of that. I'll use the scratcher my own way...
Scratchers are way too much work - this Tortie needs a nap!

Do you use a scratcher or do you prefer naps?

Hope you don't work too hard this Tortie Tuesday!
Isabella

I love both scratchers and naps! My human says I am the laziest Somali she has ever met - and then I go crazy on the cat tree!

Dogs don't get scratchers so I prefer naps but my most favorite thing to do is paper ripping. Have you tried that? ~your pal Gibbs

You are too cute, Isabella :) I have yet to find out whether Sumi likes the scratcher or not!

Oh my COD Isabella, the Mom laughed so hard at you, she soiled her undies. 'Holy Crap, this is hard work'. That is so you Isabella. It does look like a good napping place. Thanks for the chuckle.

I thought you were overdoing it Isabella. You do need that nap now and a long one at that.

Have a purrfect Tortie Tuesday. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥♥♥

For most of my kitties, the nap wins out. Sammy does use his before he comes to sleep on my pillow at night.

My kitties like pole scratches rather than floor scratchers - don't know why because they think the rugs are great fun!

I'm with you. I prefer to use my scratcher for naps...the bedroom carpet suits me much, much better (wink) Love, Cody

Oh, I just LOVE that last photo of you! You look like that "World's Most Interesting Man" guy - only you're like the World's Most Interesting Kit-Cat!!!
I've never tried a scratching thing, but it looks fun. So is napping.
Yours sincerely,

No scratchers here, Isabella, unless you count the digging we might do in the carpet - NOT!!! You may not make those same popping noises as Angel, but you sure do have some cute moves there:)

Isabella, I'm a scratcher freak. We have quite a few all over the house and I use them all. ~Wally

Isabella, that last photo stole Mom's heart. She wishes she could get Astrid to pose like that. Scratchers are just as good for napping upon as they are for scratching. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Our Piglet has one of those and he says "meh" most of the time with it although he prefers chewing his up rather than scratching on it.
I think you look great napping on the scratcher.
