Finally Friday

We're so glad it's Friday because we're looking forward to a quiet weekend!  Between working on taxes, the noisy strangers working on the yard and Mommy going up and down the stairs a squizillion times to go out and see what they're doing, it's tough getting some rest!  We did manage to enjoy a few moments in a sunpuddle...
But then we heard a Cod awful sound on the deck.  My little sisfur Angel took off downstairs but I went to see what all the commotion was...
It was two dogs!
What the halibut are you doing on MY deck Dog?
Of course I won the stare down and then went to go find my little sisfur.  While I was doing this, Mommy realized she didn't have her shoes on (like always) and tried to open the door to come inside for her shoes.  The brown dog put her nose in the door and was so strong she pushed it open and came inside and chased me!  She was hot on my tail all the way upstairs with Mommy running behind screaming HBO words!  I got away and Mommy finally got the dog outside again but the whole situation freaked me out for the rest of the day!
The dogs' dad came and got them awhile later but I stayed on top of the cat tree and wouldn't let Mommy near me.  No matter how much she washed her hands or how many times she changed her clothes, she still smelled like that stinky dog!  Daddy checked me over when he got home but I was okay.  I was very cautious going around every corner the rest of the night though.  I hope those dogs never come back!

Hope you have a quiet day!
Isabella

Mommy here:  The dogs live on the other side of our neighborhood and their dad said they are escape artists especially the girl.  He said they have a chain link fence, three wire mesh fences and then a privacy fence but she is still able to get out and the other one follows.  She didn't have a tag on but the other one did so I was able to call their dad at work in another town so it took him awhile to get here.  The landscapers weren't here at the time so I was able to keep our gate closed so they didn't run to the next county by the time he got here!  It was just too much excitement that none of us wanted!

Oh my! That really is too much excitement on one day!! The picture of Isabella staring down the big dog had me laughing :) Isabella must've had the shock of her life when he actually came in! Hope she has recovered from that and is back to her normal laid back self :)

That was scary, being chased by a strange dog in your own home, Isabella! I'm glad nothing bad happened, but I can understand why you were upset for a long time. When we are out, my human is very protective of me around dogs she doesn't know. I can't even imagine one of them invading my home!

What a frightening experience in your very own home!! We would have been NUTS if we saw a kitty in our own house!! We have neighbors who don't exactly watch their dog and he sometimes gets out too. Hope you have a peaceful weekend!! xo Chloe and LadyBug

Oh no Isabella, that sounds just dreadful. You have every right to be so scared. I bet the Mom was very scared too. Our Mom would have been saying all kinds of norty words. Hope that doesn't happen again to you. Sure glad you are all right.

Currently at my desk.. sketching new commission of two sweet puppies... It has been a pleasant week for me, one of the first in many months where I don't feel entirely stressed out. Gives me a chance to be creative and breathe... Happy Friday to all of you as well!!!

We have one of those stinky dogs and we can relate how cats don't care for stinky dogs. Sadie was not a stinky dog. There is a difference. Our Little Bit loves to chase cats but daddy makes sure the cats always get away. I'm just saying.

Have a purrfect day and a dog free weekend. My best to your mom. :)

Oh my gosh, like a scene from the worst kind of horror movie. Just like the girls in horror movies, you started out brave and then the monster gets into the house. A good idea to share with the monster's Dad. A big pvc pipe threaded with wire run across the top of a chainlink fence might cure the monster's ability to escape.

Has the Doggy Daddy ever heard of a chain? Very inexpensive, goes around the neck and is tied to a tree.....stoopid dogs.....stoopid owners.....

I can't think of anything worse Sharla! That STINKS more than to the skies! STINKS! In your HOME and chasing the cat and frightening her so badly that she was still afraid in her own home.! Too much!! and I hope the animal control puts a scare into him next time they're out and he has to go to the pound to get them!!! He can control them if he wants to badly enough.

Yikes, that must have been so unnerving for you and for the Mommy. Especially since your Angel Sadie was so sweet with you. We hope you know your Mom would always protect you and so, don't be scared any more.

oh my that was some experience. I'm kind of laughing about your mommy saying HBO words. Sounds like something I would do. Gibbs says he won't be offended by the "stinky dog" comment. He knows that you didn't mean him....lol

What an exciting day y'all had! I can't imagine the havoc a strange dog in our house would cause.

Yikes! That was quite the excitement!! How scary for all of you!
My uncle's dogs are a similar breed and I've watched them climb a chain link fence! Escape artists is right!

That is the kind of excitement you could do without!
I can't believe that one puppy was able to get into your house! I hope he didn't hurt you at all or scare you too badly.
My mom would have said one TON of HBO words - trust me!
Yours sincerely,

Aw, gees, that was SCARY! Especially when you are not friends with those dogs. And you are not used to them coming in the house! That was nice of Mommeh to save them, though. I'm sure their Dad was very thankful.

That sounds very scary that the woofie actually got into the house. Glad Isabella was fast and got atop her cat tree. She certainly did have a good stare down with the one woofie. There is a super huge dog that lives on the other side of our alley who gets loose sometimes and comes barreling through our yard. He's never tried to get in our house, however. Glad everyone is safe. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
