Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday!  Yesterday my little sisfur gave her version of her weekend wrap up and today I'm gonna give you mine.  She thinks she's the only one around here who works but that's so not true.  I had to snoopervise the landscapers to make sure they didn't cut the power on Birdie TV...
I also had to make sure the pizza was thin crust...
On Saturday I had to go to the evil v-e-t because I keep coughing and it sounds like I'm coughing up a hairball but I've never had a hairball. Ever. Sparkle's human had told Mommy that it could be asthma but when I last went to the v-e-t, she didn't think so.  Finally she does so I'm now on prednisone.  I'm still coughing but not near as much so hopefully it'll help.  Nothing helped keep my little sisfur from following me around when I got home, sniffing me and hissing...
By Sunday evening though she was cold so she came up and plopped her floofy white body against me...
It's a tough job being a snuggle bunny but someTortie's gotta do it!

Do you have any experience/advice about kitty asthma?

Hope you have a snuggly Tortie Tuesday!
Isabella

I hope you get more advice than what I have. Honestly, we all cough like that sometimes, and you know what? I think it's because the humans have never cleaned out the air ducts in the house! And this is an old house too. I cough more than the other kitties, but the x-rays have always only shown a little strangeness with my lungs. Not enough to really warrant the expensive inhaler that my human got but has never used on me.

Gosh there is a lot of work to do around the house when you are such a hard working kitty! No advise on asthma but we sure hope the medicine does the trick!

One of my furkids had terrible asthma. It came on when he was a few years old. I thought it was hairballs... hacking and hacking but nothin came up. My little guy (Nibbles) had such bad asthma, he had to stay in the hospital for a couple days to get it under control. After that he was on prednisone a few times a day. Unfortunately it causes weigh gain but it sure worked on the asthma. After a couple years we were able to wean him off the medicine, as the asthma went away :) Kisses and tummy rubs to you, Isabella ♥

We don't have any experience with asthma. We hope you get some good advice.

We had to laugh because we have the only Cibelli's pizza place outside of Oregon here in our little city. They opened up a couple of years ago and, yes, they have giant pizzas!

I think that Little Bit has asthma. She coughs every now and then. I don't do anything because I don't think I could get pills down her throat.
By the way, Isabella, you had our Person in hysterics over making the Pizza crust thin. She is still laughing. Bet it tastes great with cat hair added too.
You all have a super day.

Boo for the vet!

Our human found 3 PDFs on asthma and other respiratory issues in cats, quite detailed, a bit over her head. She'll email them to you, though, if she has your email address. The reason is that Nicki has had a chronic cough all his life and next week he goes for an x-ray, to check things out at our new vet clinic. (New since the summer.)

I will try and get a video of Pumpkin's asthma fits and you can see if her's are the same. He has them frequently but there isn't much that can be done. I had another cat, Bart who had asthma and had the same fits. Both Bart and now Pumpkin was/is otherwise just fine.

We don't know anything about kitty asthma but we DO know that your Mom will do everything she can to take care of you. We're sending purrs and headbonks to you. Oh, and Mum laughed her butt off at the photo of you being a pizza press! Too cute!!

You certainly had a busy weekend! Maybe the landscapers will make the yard even MORE bird friendly....

Nope no advice on kitty asthma. Now for dog allergies and the shots that need to be given we could write a book.

You get better soon.

Have a purrfect Tortie Tuesday. My best to your wonderful mom. ♥♥♥

I have asthma - or so our vet thinks. I've had coughing spells. We has something special on our furnace called a HIPPA Filter. M think's it's helped some, but every now and then I go thru a coughing spell for a couple of days. They are watching it.

Posey has been coughing lately too, but I figure that if we can catch colds and coughs as people, then so can our animals, just in different ways... Keep an eye on her and just make sure it doesn't get worse. Thankfully Posey's is infrequent. A time or two per week we find her coughing for about 15 seconds or so... I try not to worry! :)
