It's Tortie Tuesday!  Today I'm reflecting on a recent visit to the v-e-t where I was told I'm healthy but that I may be a little bit too much Tortie.  Can you believe that?  How can there ever be too much of me?
I was told I need to be more "active".  Yeah, whatever.  I'm mellow - that's just the way I am!  Oh well.  All this talk of being active has made me sleepy...
I think the v-e-t was just jealous of my beautyness.  Whatever the case may be, it is important to be healthy and to be happy with your shape even if that shape is round!

Have a Happy Tortie Tuesday!
Isabella

You're purrfectly gorgeous and beautiful just as you are, Isabella. And I agree - it's as important to be healthy as it is to be happy with you, right this moment. - June, Bindo, Benny and Phillo

*a bit too much Tortie*. Oh, how that made us laugh! Oh goodness, Mommy just wants to smooch that round face of yours!

Isabella, every time I come here, you remind me that not ALL torties are freaky maniacs like Binga is!

My cats were both a bit overweight too on our last visit. It's very hard to get this weight thing just right. Now we are only letting the food out for about 20-30 min. once in the morning and once in the evening per our vet's recommendation. Indoor cats just don't need much to eat when they lay around most of the day.

Our v-e-t says the same about Sammy, can you believe??

I would ask for a second opinion. Any v e t that says there is too much of you obviously doesn't know what he's talking about :)

What do those vets know anyway!! My vet told me the same thing months ago, but it hasn't worked. M measures my kibble every day and tries to play with me ever day so I get exercise -but a nice nap is always calling me.

Isabella, you know my mom is your best fan. She loves ALL of your Tortiness. I am pleasing her with my Tuxiness too. I am starting to be a bit rounded. xoxox

Maybe you better get hopping around because the next thing they will do is try and take your food away!

Yea...I'd like to know just how you make an inactive cat be active. Or a cat do anything for that matter...

NEVER say there's too much Tortie! Your vet is a little bit Rude.

Maggie has that same problem Isabella. So the two of you can diet together. We sure don't want you getting diabetes or anything bad like that. Maggie likes to do nothing but nwp too. We think you look purrfect. Take care.

Heehee the vet tells me the same thing! We would make a great pair. The last time I went on a diet I got very sick from the diet food. No more diets for me. Yay! Love, Moon xoxo

Oh Isabella! We love you just the way you are! But it is important to stay active, and have fun too! ;)

I see more cat nip toys in your future, ay?

Isabella, we are so happy you had a good vet visit, despite the talk about roundness. Maybe you could get Mom to get you and Angel some kitty harnesses and you two could do some Sadie Strolls outside:)

Actually we don't see you as being too round at all, just gorgeous and fluffy.

So, how do inside kitties keep so svelte? Hobbes had to go back on diet food now that he is inside again. He doesn't like to play with us--he gets bored very easily. What do you kitties do???

Rose said... September 18, 2012 at 8:16 PM

Angel gets told that on occasion, too...what can you do? You are still as beautiful as ever!

You DO have a lot of beautyness! How could too much Tortie be bad? :D
