It's Good to Rule the Roost

I get what I want around here but of course I deserve everything I get.  I've taught my mommy and daddy that when I paw at the window it means I want it opened NOW!  Sometimes it takes them awhile to get the hint so I just paw and paw and paw at it until they eventually figure it out.  I love fresh air whiffs...
Oh yeah, I rule the roost around here...
Fortunately our weather has been nice with temps of the low 70s or below (22C or below for our international friends) although we might get in the upper 70s later this week.  Our A/C has only been on one or two days so far this summer.  For everybuddy experiencing record breaking temperatures this year, we hope you stay safe and cool.  Please remember the outside animals and make sure there's a water source for them too.   We wish you all could come visit us in the cooler Pacific Northwest!  Wouldn't that be a great pawty?

Hope you have a great start to the holiday week!
Angel

We are about 10 or so degrees warmer than you are, Angel, but it is still very nice down here. Like you, I've been concerned for everyone who has had awful weather come their way. It seems like I am purring overtime these days.

I heard about the heatwave. I hope people remember not to leave their dogs inside the car while shopping.
We've enjoyed two sunny days with temps around 20°C. It is forecast to get a little warmer though. Sammy loves it!

those temps sound like heaven...we're sealed up tight in our private little cooler here at home...but our temps are no where near what some folks are getting so NO complaints here for sure.

PeeS: Thinking of you dear ♥ Sharla!!! hubby & i both missed going on a Sadieday stroll with you two this past weekend and when we talked about it we decided that there's a new place that just opened up across the "Rainbow Bridge" and it's called "Sadieville" it's a special place for SUPER SPECIAL PAWS! and Sadie is the Mayor! sending love & hugs!!!

You look so happy in your window!

I am so thankful to live in the Pacific NW this year, with all the crazy weather patterns happening elsewhere. It's been pretty rainy and cold up here, but I'll take that over scorching heat any day!

Opened windows? I didn't even know they open. We prefer the A/C on around here but then it tends to be above 96+ here.

It's fun when my beans open the windows on the sun porch 'cause I can watch the birdies and squirrels amd sniff me some breezes! I'll have to try the paw trick and see if they catch on....

Angel, we think you need a little bell to ring, maybe THAT would help you train the peeps to attend to their window duties!

Angel, leave the light on, we are on our way!!!

So we think we have figured out that you are the window girl who keeps tabs on the Birdy Channel and Isabella is the one who keeps tabs on Mom's beads. BOL

Wish we could drop even 10 degrees - that would feel so good.

Party at your place! That sounds GREAT! I could go for some cooler weather!
Mom took a bowl of water out for Fluffy Black Cat the other day. We don't know if her people remember to do that - and since she was hanging out in our yard, we thought it would be the hospitable thing to do. I thought we should invite her in, but Mom said "no" to that. I wonder why?

Woof! Woof! That's great! We are also not a big fan of AC. We live upcountry so at night we get to open windows for fresh air. Lots of Golden ALOHA n Woofs, Sugar

Those are perfect summer temps, we think. It's been a bit too hot here, but today's been nice, with a good breeze. Lots of garden time for us this long weekend!

Angel, you have your humans trained well!

We are a little jealous of your 70 degree temperatures! We are having another day in the 90s and all our windows are closed because the cold air blower is on.

Angel - you look comfortable there. And getting the window open for you - lucky! Buster loves laying out on the deck in the sun. I think he's crazy! {:-D
