It's Tortie Tuesday!  Just to show that I'm the whole package, I'm making it a Tummy and Toesday too...
Did I make you squee?  Thought so.

Feel free to share your tummy and toes this Tortie Tuesday!

Fine Feathered...Treats?

What better way to spend a Monday then to lounge about and watch the Birdie Network...
The show is so mesmerizing that nothing can distract me...
Hey!  Was that a treat bag I heard?
Change of plans...it's important to be flexible to make sure you never miss an opportunity for a treat!

Hope your Monday is a treat too!

Strolling Down Memory Lane on Sadieday

It's Sadieday and since we've been a little outta sorts lately missing our sisfur Sadie, we thought we'd share some memories of her today.  Even though she was a woofie, she was the bestest big sisfur we could ask for.  When we first became part of this family in 2006, Sadie didn't know what to make of us.  The kitties who came before us, Reebok and Panther, always ran from her so she thought chase was a game all kitties played.  Well, we didn't run which confused her so much!  Eventually we taught her the ways of being a kitty such as the joys of a box...
The joys of napping...
Just hanging out together...
As much as she loved doing kitty things with us, her greatest joy was strolling on Sadiedays...
We hope you do something to bring you joy today!  As with every Sadieday, be sure to smile and make someone else smile too!  That's what our sisfur would do!

We hope you have a Happy Sadieday and a great weekend!

Friday Features

Welcome to Friday Features!  Hard to believe we're coming up on the end of July.  It didn't help that our summer got off to a crappy start but we still haven't been enjoying our beautiful weather and all that Oregon has to offer this time of year.  Since my boss from Colorado was visiting last week, I took her to the coast where I remembered my love for the ocean.  Today's features are inspired by the beauty of the beach and my new mother of pearl earrings.  Hope you enjoy my picks!

Click on the links above the photos to see the item and the shops.  Please note, I only made the first item - often in comments I'm credited with making all the items so I want the artisans to have their due credit for their talent!

Summer Lovin'

The Blogging Business Artisans challenge for July, chosen by Jenny from A Bird in the Hand Art, is to make anything summer related, love related or the movie Grease related.  Well, we really don't want Mommy to start singing the songs from Grease (she loves that movie much to the dismay of our ears) so I thought I'd help her come up with something summer and love related.  We've got the love part down...
I have a good idea for the summer part too but first I have to make her nervous by walking all over her project...
I also need to be held a bit...
Being held is my favorite part of projects and I can hang out on her shoulder for a really long time cause she scratches my back which feels oh so good...
Okay, now it's back to business.  Where were we?  Oh yeah, trying to finish this challenge and make it summer-y.  Wait, I need to tame some paper...
Voila!  Here's our finished challenge piece...
Thanks to me it's now the purrfect combination of summer related and love related with the addition of the quote -  A life without love is like a year without summer.  I'm just brilliant!  Plus I saved us from having to hear Mommy singing all the songs from Grease again!

Hope you enjoy some Summer Lovin'!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday!  I have some unbelievable news - Mommy says that I am not helpful when I hold down her beads so they don't fly away.  Shocking huh?
Now I'm torn because I feel like I should just let the beads go all willy-nilly but my hard work ethics makes me feel like I should stay put.  Oh what's a kitty to do?  I better contemplate this decision for an hour or two...
Do you ever feel unappreciated for your efforts?

Hope you know I appreciate you this Tortie Tuesday!

To-Do List

Since it's Monday again, time to make another to-do list of stuff I want to get done this week.  Hopefully I get a lot of it done today so I can take it easy the rest of the week.  Okay, here goes:

1)  Look cute ✓
2)  Enjoy my ESS ✓
Looks like I just have one thing left to do ALL week!
3)  Nap

It's a tough job being a kitty!  What's on your list this week?

Enjoy your Monday!

Strolling with Friends on Sadieday

It's Sadieday!  We wish we could be strolling with our sisfur Sadie but we know she's with us in spirit and would enjoy strolling with friends.  Today we're going to hang out with two handsome Siberian Huskies from Kansas - Zim and Dave from the Army of Four!
These boys are so handsome and they are also Army disciplined so they make sure they walk their mom and dad several times a day...
They're also great explorers - Zim has traveled to the Top of the World (or at least the Top of the Little Apple aka Manhattan, KS)...
He's also discovered the Kansas Ocean...
Dave likes to hang out on the boardwalk at the edge of the Ocean...
Zim is very good at communicating with anybuddy - even cats!  He has several kit-cat friends in his neighborhood...
Dave communicates with us by showing us his gorgeous blue eyes and freckles...
Our sisfur Sadie was pretty good at communicating with her eyes too.  This look always got her smooches on her snooter from Mommy...
We hope you enjoyed strolling with our Kansas friends, Zim and Dave, today!  Be sure to take a stroll in your neck of the woods and as always, be sure to spread love and smiles on Sadieday and every day!

Happy Sadieday!
Have a great weekend too!

If Only...

If only I had thumbs I could actually do more than just read blogs today...
but since I don't and Mommy is at the coast with her boss from Colorado, I didn't have any help to put together a post or to comment on blogs so I apologize for my Mommy's messed up priorities!  Hope she at least brings home some fish or something.

Hope you have a great Friday!

Thankful Thursday

The man in blue shorts brought us a package the other day from Sarah at Magnolia Surprise.  Of course the package had to be inspected...
Inside was a present for our mommy (it had to be inspected it too)...
When it came time to open up the present, the purrfessional present opener upper was called in...
She pulled that string off in no time...
And this is what was inside - Sarah crocheted a little Sadie!  Isn't she adorable?
She even made the little Sadie have a cutie patootie like our sisfur Sadie had...
Thank you so much Sarah!  We love the little Sadie and it's truly a very special gift!  It made Mommy's eyes leaky of course but she put it on a shelf so she can see it all the time.  Thank you for the string too!
We are so touched by the kindness we've received after our sisfur Sadie went to the Rainbow Bridge.  We want to say thank you to everyone who has had us in their thoughts.  A special thanks again to Sarah for the little Sadie and also to Edi for this wonderful gift we discussed before!  Be sure to stop by their shops and we know you'll find something for you or a friend that'll make them smile!

Hope you enjoy your day!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday!  One of my many talents is that I'm a purrfessional box inspector.  There isn't a box that has come into this house without a thorough inspection done by me.  I've inspected a squizillion big boxes and little boxes so I was up to the challenge of inspecting a flat box...
It's actually pretty comfy with its double corrugated thickness to support by Tortieness...
This flat box gets two paws up!
Hope you enjoy some comfyness this Tortie Tuesday!

PeeS:  I want to let you know about a great giveaway of a beautiful handpainted jewelry box on the BBArtisans blog.  Be sure to check it out here:

Infomercial

Have you ever been the victim of poor lighting which doesn't allow you to see the true beauty of what is sitting in the hallway?
Make sure that never happens again with the Fe-light - the original feline light that brightens everything in your life!
The Fe-light is powered by stinky goodness and treats and is completely mobile so every room in your house  can be illuminated by its powerful laser beams.  You'll love the Fe-light so much you'll want more than one!  This would almost* guarantee that one light is available while another is recharging on the sofa.

No home should be without the Fe-light!

*Disclaimer:  The feline portion of the Fe-light can never be guaranteed to do anything that it doesn't want to so lighting will not be available while it sleeps recharges as long as it wants to.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Stroll with Friends on Sadieday!

Happy Sadieday everybuddy!  We still miss our sisfur Sadie every day but especially on Sadiedays.  To help us smile today, we're going to go on a little stroll and then hang out with the OP Pack from the Chronicle of Woos.  Here's the beawootiful Siberian Husky family from Kansas...
Lightning, Ciara, Thunder and Phantom
It's been really hot in Kansas this summer but still, let's go along with Phantom on a stroll...
He has lots of friends including this donkey who he introduced his little sister Ciara too.  We think that donkey is smitten with her!
But how could he not be, she's such a pretty girl!  Sadie would be proud of her napping on the furniture too!
The OP part of the OP Pack stands for Overland Park which is not only an hour from where Mommy and Daddy grew up and where our Grandpa from Kansas still lives, it's also a suburb of Kansas City which is BBQ country!  Thunder doesn't let anyone forget this!
Of course it's also near our Daddy's favorite team - the Kansas City Chiefs!  Sadie watched the games with him and every touchdown Daddy would put his hands up in the air and Sadie would howl.  They enjoyed it.  Us?  Not so much since it disturbed our naps!
We hope you enjoyed hanging out with our friends today!  Last week we know our Sadieday post made some of you sad but that's not our intention.  Our sisfur Sadie was always full of love and was happy all the time so we hope to still share that love and happiness since we know she wouldn't want us sad.  So, be sure to get out and stroll in your neck of the woods or do whatever makes your heart happy today!

Have a Happy Sadieday and a great weekend too!
