Thinking Green...

We are surrounded by beautiful nature here in Oregon so we do what we can to keep it that way and help make our planet be a greener place. One way of doing this is with reusable shopping bags...
Mommy takes these bags to the grocery store and fills them up with lots of treats! Well, okay, sometimes she puts other things besides treats in them too. Uhm, this isn't exactly what I meant about other things...
This reminds me of a very good point. It's important to make sure reusable bags are washable since you never know what might be left behind from whatever is in it...
Oh come on. A little kitty fur never hurt anyone.
Mommy thinks Angel is "so cuuuute" so she gets away with a lot around here. I can't figure why...
Because nothing's cuter than a bag full of Tortieness!
Do you have any ideas to help make our planet a greener place?
Isabella

You guys are too cute!! We also use reusable bags. I like to walk too. We bought a pet stroller so when it gets warm I can walk the furry babies to the vet

My human is awful about the reusable shopping bags! She and her boyfriend have loads of them, but when she goes shopping she often forgets them! She needs to put them somewhere where she will remember them better... preferably somewhere we can also examine them and use them as toys on non-shopping days.

You both are super cute in them bags. Planting more trees would be a first. My aunt makes these cleaning agents from fruit skins. It stinks like hell but they clean very well :)

Well mom always uses proper bags, never plastic. And as a fambly we try to recyle efurrything we don't want any more. That includes giving stuff to cat charity shops or selling it on eBay.
Mom also tries very hard to only buy the food that will be eaten ~ many people buy food and then chuck it away at the end of the week ~ mom thinks that is wrong. not only does rotting food create harmful gases, but it is such a terrible waste too.

So so cute!!! That is the best bag of groceries ever!
If people lived closer to their work that would help make the planet fresher. Too much commuting... it's so bad for humans too.

Reusable bags are always a good idea. I have lots in the trunk of my car for when I go shopping. Sometimes it's just a matter of remembering to take them into the store with me!

As I have a chemical allergy, there are very few commercial cleaning products I use. Baking soda, vinegar, lemon juice and a little 'elbow grease' get most things clean! :)

You two are so gorgeous! I like how Isabella blends in with the fabric--all you need is a carrier and she can go with you everywhere like those other four legged pets get to....

You're both adorable!

Our mom uses "green" bags too, of course, Many stores charge now for plastic bags.

Our city recycles, of course, but also composts now too, so that really cuts down on stuff going into landfill (we hope). It's just too bad they can't compost kitty litter and kitty waste, because that's most of our garbage!

We also use reusable shopping bags, we recycle paper, glass, beverage containers, milk bottles, plastic, metal, cardboard ....almost everything! We have been avid recyclers for over 14 years.

what would life be without a little cat hair - we are in good supply around here. You 2 look so cute in the shopping bag - no wonder you get away with it.

You girls are both so adorable, Isabella! I'm with Mommy on the reusable shopping bags...I also recycle and try to buy local produce whenever I can. Hope you have a wonderful (green!) day! :)

I am sure cat fur only makes the bag better. You both look so cute peeking out of the bag.

Right, a little fur never hurt anyone! Isabella, that is your color too.

Hmmm, what do we do to be green?

We too use the reusable shopping bags, and always wash using cold water. Speaking of water, we also water the plants/gardens with the used dishwater. Oh, and we have rainbarrels too!

Probably too much talk about water for kitties huh?

You girls are so stinkin cute!

Yes! Everyone should haz at least two cats in their house. That will make the planet greener coz all those new cat slaves will rush right out and plant catnip for their new er... masters! (That's Us) HA!

Our ebil plan must work!

And a house without furbaby hair isn't a home :)

Oh my gosh, you two look so cute in those bags. Glad Sadie didn't try to get in one of them. Angel, we agree with you, what is wrong with a little hair. We know you kitties wouldn't leave anything bad in those bags.
We try to keep our earth greener but don't do a very good job. Take care.
