Broken In or Just Broken?

Ah, the scent of a purrfect toy...
It's hard work getting toys just right. Here are my favorite mousies in September 2008...
and today...
I think it's pretty neat how I turned two mousies into 4 pieces! The little pieces make it easier to whap...
And carry around...
And share with my sisfur...
I can't figure out how come Mommy thinks it's time to throw it away.

Do you have a favorite toy?

Hope you have a fun Thursday!
Angel

One of my favorite toys is just a leg now... but that was the dog's fault, not mine!

2 toys become 4 seems like a good thing.. hehehehe but it took you girls 3 years to break it.. which is quite a long time.

i never had any toy. booohooo.. cos i came to this home an adult. They didn't see the need to get me any toys. boohoooooooo.. that is why i chase the kitties in the garden. They became auto toys :D

woofs n licks,

Ah! It looks like you got a hold of one of those birds from the Birdie Network!!

Those look like cool toys! Harley loves any toy on a wand.

Well it looks like you ladies did a good job with those toys. If Mom takes them away make sure something else pops up first.
I would hate to see you go on a no pose for pictures strike.

I think they might be a little too worn in, kitties. My kitties love sparkle balls and our feather on a wand. Hobbes likes "stick", but nobody ever wants to play it with him because it kills your back. Poor Hobbes.

Lol, looks like you girls had tons of fun with those toys! I think Mommy is probably right though. ;) Hope you have a fantastic Thursday!

Angel doesn't play with a lot of toys, but she does enjoy her toy mice. She ripped the tail off one once and ate it before we could stop her. :)

Those are such cool mouse toys! Even when they're in pieces.

Melly will play with anything, from bottle caps to wine corks to crinkle balls, and I don't think she really has a favorite. Scarlett's favorite is a big pink mouse - it crinkles and is full of catnip.

Lola and Gidget never seem to be able to keep their favorite mousies in tact. If they hit the floor, Rosie can't resist tearing into all that fuzzy fur. So we try to keep them in the basement where Rosie doesn't wander around, but if the kitties dare to bring them upstairs, they're goners.

Definitely time for new toys!

It's amazing that you still have all the bits and pieces!

I think they are wonderful toys. My fur babies love to have small toys to tote around and they are easier to hide from each other, lol!

sorry angel think mommy's right - you tore that "meecess to pieces" i can't remember what cartoon that line is from but it's about mice so i'm sure you'd love it! :)

Oh my! I think those mousies are dead, dead, dead!

Oh nos those toys are not ready to be thrown away yet. That is so nice of you Angel to share with your sisfur. Looks like good whapping material to us. Hope all of you have a Happy Thursday.

lol.. it is easy to tell which toys get the most "love" lol!
And when I looked at the top picture quickly, I thought it was a big cockroach at first! Glad it wasn't! :)

We love our Nip Nanners, even after SomeCat (Scouty!) chews of the tips off and all the nippy goodness leaks out; we play with the "skin"!

Mom is always threatening to throw away our favorite toys too - the ones that are the most loved, most chewed, and the dirtiest - all the things that make them so special.

Just hide those mice, Angel, so you can have them for years to come.

I used to have a favorite toy but my mom threw it away because she said it wasn't good for me to chew off the pieces of plastic and eat them. Boy I sure miss that thing.

They should have an Etsy shop for gently used cat toys! LOL

Way too cute! My daughter's three cats each like different things. One likes ribbons, one likes jingles, one likes these funny little mice things.

You girls are too darling. Love checking in on ya! Those mouse faces look like they are made out of leather. I would like to chew those!

My Mom just found a whole bunch of my toys behind her desk! I lost them when they were brand new so it was like getting new toys all over again. Those toys look homemade and very fun! Love, Moon

BumbleVee said...

Yep...I think they've pretty much had it.... maybe Mommy could attach a body to the head pieces? they are cute heads... even if there is an eye missing....lol...oops.... and a nose. Acckkk! I hope nobody swallowed those!!

ooo...We love your mousies! Why would anyone want to throw away such luscious-ities?!
We love our Casbah Kitten jelly beans and we love, love our puff balls.

(editor's note: Puff balls are pom poms. They get scattered all over the house as well as brought up to the second floor when we are working in the office or sleeping.)

Those mousies sure are loved! You've put a lot of time into making them juuuuust right. Good job, Angel!

Sometimes the oldest worn toys are the favorites. Pearlene has a dilapidated toy that she carries around and even takes it out with her when she goes on potty breaks.
