How Long Does It Take...

One thousand one...
One thousand two...
Doors don't stay closed around here very long before some nose is pushing it open!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday and today I'm back at my tutor duties because Daddy started school again yesterday. I have to make sure I read up on everything...
and point out the important parts...
so that I make sure he gets straight A's again this semester. It's hard work but some kitty has to do it!

Education is very important so never stop learning!
Happy Tortie Tuesday!
Isabella

PeeS: I just want to let you know that Sadie appreciated all the concern yesterday and that she says she won't ever go on a walk by herself again! And Daddy wanted everyone to know that he didn't mean to leave the gate open and he'll never do that again!

Disaster Adverted...

We had some excitement around here last night and today I will describe what I saw from this window. Okay, let me set the stage. Daddy let Sadie out back to use her litteryard...can you see where I'm going with this? Yep, Daddy forgot to shut the gate to the backyard after he was out there yesterday afternoon. He went to see what was taking Sadie so long and then I see him walking out in the driveway looking all around...
Mommy then flew out the front door because she realized what happened. Daddy went clear down to the end of our cul-de-sac and saw Sadie going along her and Mommy's regular stroll route. She was at the next block but came back when Daddy called her and as soon as she got into our cul-de-sac she came running into Mommy's open arms. Once they got inside Mommy gave Sadie treats and Daddy got in big trouble...
Let's just say I don't think Daddy will ever leave the gate open again!

It was all very scary and Mommy was shaking for a long time after Sadie was safe inside but we're so glad she didn't get far and that she came back when called. To avoid scaring your beans, make sure all doors are closed so indoor kitties can't get out and make sure all gates are closed so woofies can't get out!

Hope you have a safe and uneventful Monday!

Stroll with Sadie!

Yay it's Sadieday! It's time for another stroll with me! Today we are walking through the neighborhood again because there was a cougar found at a house close by where we walk and sightings of other cougars in the area so I need to keep my mommy safe and on her leash. Anyway, are you ready? Well, let's go!
I enjoy going on a stroll and we often see other dogs out walking their beans too. It makes me wonder about all the dogs out there that are still looking for a furever home like I have, wishing they could go on strolls through their own neighborhood...
because of that, I'd like to give some important information so if I could have your attention please...
This week is Petfinder's Adopt a Less Adoptable Pet Week and I think all pets are adoptable but I guess senior pets like me are one of those groups considered "less adoptable". There are lots of older dogs in shelters that deserve a loving home like I have with my mommy and daddy and sisfurs. If you or someone you know is considering adopting a dog, please look into senior dogs because we may not have puppy breath anymore but we have lots of love to give and lots more strolls to go on! And we're also very cute!
Thanks for your attention and also for going on a walk with me! I hope you had fun!
Enjoy your Sadieday!

Hanging Onto Summer...

Even though it's officially fall, our weather is finally nice enough again to open windows so even though my sisfur Isabella is snoozing away... I'm hanging on to summer the best I can!
Hope you are enjoying summer like weather today!

Goodbye Sweet Sniffie

Our furiend Sniffie had to be helped across the Bridge today. Sniffie was one of the first kitties we met when we started blogging. She was so beautiful and so sweet and we feel like she was a part of our family. We're sending comforting purrs to her mom and dad and furblings.
Sniffie, we are going to miss you very much!

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday! It's been cloudy, rainy and dreary here for days so I just want to nap in my penthouse apartment until the sun comes out again.
Trouble is the occupant in the studio apartment below me keeps pokin' my floor.

Hope you have a peaceful Tortie Tuesday!

Make A Difference!

We're down to the wire but we wanted to be sure to do a post to help feed shelter dogs because we love shelter dogs and we really love dog food!
For each blog that posts about the PEDIGREE® Adoption Drive through today, September 19th, PEDIGREE® will donate a bag of their new Healthy Longevity Food for Dogs to shelters nationwide. It’s simple: Write a post, help a dog. Your blog doesn't even have to be a pet blog to participate!
Each year, more than 4 million dogs end up in shelters and breed rescue organizations. Pedigree created The PEDIGREE Adoption Drive to help shine a spotlight on the plight of these homeless dogs.

This year the PEDIGREE Adoption Drive is raising awareness for homeless dogs by donating a bowl of food to shelter dogs for everyone who becomes a “Fan” or “Likes” The PEDIGREE Adoption Drive on Facebook. So far more than 1 million bowls have been donated.
If you have a few extra minutes today, write a post and help feed shelter dogs! It's easy to make a big difference and you'll be glad you did - and so will the dogs!

Stroll with Sadie!

Happy Sadieday! It's been rainy and drizzly here this week but that's not going to stop me from taking a stroll today even if we have to go on the paved trails around the neighborhood and I have to keep Mommy on her leash. Oh well, we'll still have fun so grab your rain gear and let's go!
There are more and more leaves on the ground. Must mean fall is in the air which around here means more rain and fewer strolls in the forest so I'm going to have to keep Mommy leashed up more often. Phooey!
One good thing about more rain is more puddles!
Doesn't the trail look a little eerie today?
Wonder if we'll see any scary creatures lurking in the darkness...
Good thing I have Mommy on her leash! Since she was a good girl and didn't chase the scary creature, I'm going to take her home now since it's drizzly and her hair keeps expanding with the humidity. (She looks more scary than the scary creature!) To leave you on a good note, I'll end the stroll with a picture of me...
I hope you enjoyed going on a stroll with me!
Have a Happy Sadieday!

You Want Me to Do What YOU Want? HA!

Nope, no way, no how! I'm not looking up just because you want me to.
*shakes head vigorously*
Okay, now you want me to look straight ahead? Well, I want to look up...
You're kind of spoiling my box time Mommy.
Hope no one spoils your day!

PeeS: Our furiend Inigo is in need of purrs. He is having heart problems and could use your purrayers and crossed paws. We're purring for you Inigo!

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday

What'd you say Mommy? Let me get closer because I thought you said something silly like we're not supposed to be on the table.

Tortie Tuesday

It's Tortie Tuesday! The sun is shining so I'm going to soak up every sunbeam I can find!
Yeah, I know, I'm being watched...
Hope you are able to soak up some sunbeams today too!

Happy Tortie Tuesday!

Here We Go Again...

Tonight is the kickoff for Monday Night Football with two games being played. We'll be down in the Mancave watching the big screen TV because Daddy's favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, is playing in the 2nd game. I can't remember when the Chiefs last had a winning season but Daddy still roots for them - actually he does a lot of yelling for them! Anyway, I'll take my spot in my chair, we'll have the Chiefs pennant on the wall and we'll hope they start this season with a win!
If not, I'll do my best to look cute so maybe he won't notice the score!
Are you ready for some football?

Easy Like Sunday Morning...

We're going to spend the day relaxing and napping. Hey, was that a treat bag I heard?
Treats always trump napping!

Hope you have plenty of treats and some naps today!
