Stroll with Sadie!

Yay it's Sadieday! It's time for another stroll with me! Today we are walking through the neighborhood again because there was a cougar found at a house close by where we walk and sightings of other cougars in the area so I need to keep my mommy safe and on her leash. Anyway, are you ready? Well, let's go!
I enjoy going on a stroll and we often see other dogs out walking their beans too. It makes me wonder about all the dogs out there that are still looking for a furever home like I have, wishing they could go on strolls through their own neighborhood...
because of that, I'd like to give some important information so if I could have your attention please...
This week is Petfinder's Adopt a Less Adoptable Pet Week and I think all pets are adoptable but I guess senior pets like me are one of those groups considered "less adoptable". There are lots of older dogs in shelters that deserve a loving home like I have with my mommy and daddy and sisfurs. If you or someone you know is considering adopting a dog, please look into senior dogs because we may not have puppy breath anymore but we have lots of love to give and lots more strolls to go on! And we're also very cute!
Thanks for your attention and also for going on a walk with me! I hope you had fun!
Enjoy your Sadieday!
Sadie

Cougars! That is scary, Sadie! It's a good thing you are keeping your human on a leash.

Thanks for mentioning Petfinder's Less Adoptable Pet Week! I hope lots of so-called "less adoptable" pets have found homes, with the efforts of so many of us in the blogosphere.

Those deer got my attention. It's wonderful of you to promote adoption of senior pets. Hopefully in these times of need we can get the message out more to adopt, don't buy. Have a great weekend!

Wow, cougar sightings, you are smart to walk your mom in a safer area.
I hope all those less adoptable pets find great homes soon

We agree with you about adopting older dogs. For one thing, they are much calmer than puppies, who can be very uncontrollable!

Cougars - oh no! You and Mommy keep each other safe, okay? No offroading for a while.
Have a great weekend!

Cougars, oh my goodness! I'm glad you kept mommy safe! My mom recently adopted a lovely cat...he's a bit older and he's so sweet and gentle! Everyone was instantly smitten. :)

I hope you have a great Sadieday!

Hi Sadie,

Yes, DO keep your Mommy close to home and on leash if there are cougars about.

Does jane count as 'less adoptable'? She was over a year old when Momma 'dopted her in from being a stray so that she wouldn't be taken to the shelter.

Another nice Sadie Day. I love going for strolls with you.I hope you warned the Deer about the cougars.I don't think you are a senior dog Sadie. I believe you are wise to the world. But I am trying to get my neighbor to adopt a senior dog. She lost hers about six months ago.I know she misses her.

As our mom says, SENIORS ROCK!!! Not only are we cute, many of us have had some training and are out of that whole "chew up everything in sight" stage!
Sadie, you are SO WISE to keep your mom on a leash! Cougars!!! I don't think I'd want to meet up with a cougar kit-cat out on a stroll!
Beautiful stroll, as always!

Sadie, you have a good message for today! Mommy loves kittens and puppies but older pets are a LOT calmer and they make great family members, and (hopefully)no puddles on the floor.

pee ess: watch out for cougars! Our Mommy's parents live in Tucson and they saw a mountain lion on the golf course nab a bunny!!!

Oh goodness, that is so scary to have cougars around. You and Mom must be careful.
We agree that people should adopt the senior dogs or cats. They need homes so badly.
Thanks for the stroll Sadie. The deers are looking good.
Have a great Sat.

Glad you are keeping your mommy safe from that cougar...yikes!

Here's wishing that each "less adoptable" pet finds a great furrever home :)

Oh, you have to watch those middle-aged women, they just love to smoochie cute dogs like you in the 'hood!

Or did you mean the animal kind of cougar???

I agree, Sadie! Senior pets are less crazy and still so cute!

Now you be careful and always keep your bean on a leash! It's the only safe way to walk them. And keep your sniffer working in all directions too so if a cougar or other scary nanimal comes, you can tell your bean.

We have cougars here too. One ate Farm cat Fred. It's very scary. I'm glad I have a safe barn at night.

Abby talked about adopting pets from the shelter yesterday.

You are so right Sadie, giving an older baby a home is so rewarding. My son, bless his heart, has given his heart to an adorable older pug. Thanks for reminding everyone.

Don't have any cougars in our neighborhood-sounds scary! Older dogs are great! They are less jumpy, house broken, calmer and just as loving. Abby was 5 when we got her and is a wonderful dog, just like you, Sadie! We got her through Petfinder.
