Off the Beaten Path... Way Off!

I hope you enjoyed going along on my Sadieday Field Trip yesterday! We had a great time and the adventures didn't end as we headed home. So get comfy and come along for the ride...
Mommy and Daddy thought it'd be fun to take a little side road and explore more of the area. Okay, it looks pretty so maybe this is a good idea...
But this may be a sign that it wasn't such a good idea...
The GPS is supposed to say "Acquiring Satellites" not "Locating Satellites". You know you're off the beaten path when there are no satellites to locate let alone acquire...
This isn't a good sign either...
Hope we aren't out here as long as this guy has been...
Are we there yet?
We eventually made it out of the woods but it took so long I had 6 treats, 2 refills on my water bowl and 1 potty break (which of course meant sniffing all the fun forest smells).

Moral of the story is to make sure you have plenty of treats and water with you when you travel since you never know where your path may lead you!

Enjoy your Sunday!
Sadie

Oh, I hate getting lost! ...but since your mommy thought of everything (6 treats = wow), I'm sure it wasn't too bad exploring unknown territory :)

Have a relaxing Sunday!

That really WAS off the beaten path! That old truck is quite funny. Were there any other people around?

Glad you made it home okay.

Your mom is so smart being prepared like that. How fun though to explore new areas. You never know what your in store for. Must have almost felt like you went back in time being so disconnected from everything.

You know you are lost when your GPS can't find you. If you hadn't gotten out your Daddy might have eaten some of your treats. I'm glad you are home.

That did look like a great road to try. Love the picture of Angel. That is too funny. But we are excited that you made it home. Glad Mom brought survival supplies with her.
Have a great Sunday.

Sadie- those are the best adventures, where you sort of don't know where you are, but aren't really lost. What fun! Glad you had extra water and treats.

It's never good when GPS and cell phones don't have a clue where you're at! Glad your Mommy brought lots of treats for you :)

Love the truck photo btw :)

We decided one day to travel down to Austin to check out an artist's work. I use mapquest. The lady thought I was nuts. I also do not have an iphone so I guess that makes me really behind with the times, huh?

Goodness Sadie, what a long day you had! Still, the scenery and sniffs were well worth it, I am sure :)
We can't wait for your next adventure!!

That is quite an adventure! That would be kind of scary when the GPS can't find any satellites (maybe you ended up traveling into another dimension cue Rod Serling).
I love that old truck. It kinda makes you wonder about the history of the place.
