Whew! What A Week!

Since I was in Las Vegas all week, I'm really behind on acknowledging awards and a tag we received so I'll catch up today. First of all, I'd like to thank Meghann from Little Studio Photography and Jewellery for featuring me on her blog Friday. If you'd like to learn a little more about me - please visit her Fabulous Friday Features.

Meghann also tagged me to show the 10th picture in my 10th folder. The 10th folder is called "House" which means it's house stuff. And wouldn't you know it, the 10th photo is this:
That was the photo sent to me by my husband of the house he bought here in Oregon while I was in Colorado trying to sell our house there. Since I couldn't be out here while he looked for a house, I had to see them by photos. Imagine my "joy" in seeing that kitchen! Notice the 1978 appliances - the dish rack they had on the counter should have been a big clue that the dishwasher would flood the floor when we used it, which it did, so it was replaced soon after we moved in. Followed by a new stove when we got down to one working burner. The lovely fruit wallpaper and white knobs were removed rather quickly too.

We finally remodeled the kitchen last summer so here's the updated version.
During the process Angel snoopervised to make sure everything was put together correctly! (The cabinets look lighter in this photo because it's natural cherry wood so darkens with sunlight)And Sadie kept an eye on me while I took photos of the finished work. Isabella was more concerned with watching birdies out the window!

Now to acknowledge some wonderful folks who passed awards to us this week. Stacy Hurt gave us the Kreativ Blogger award!
Stacy is very creative, talented and an animal lover so this is an honor to receive this award from her! Thank you so much Stacy!
************************************************
Yours Truli gave us the Honest Scrap award. I'm really glad she did because it gave me the opportunity to get to know her blog and it's wonderful! Thank you very much!
Along with this award we're supposed to list 10 facts about us. I'm not good at figuring out what to list that is something I haven't listed in the past so I'll have to pass on this.
************************************************
Laura from The Cat in the Clover gave us the Premio Meme Award. She makes cute kitty pillows and accessories and also has a wonderful blog so check her out too!
We're supposed to list 7 facts with this award but again, I have a hard time thinking of some so will have to pass but thanks anyway!
***********************************************
Kerrilee from Lazy Bear Blogs awarded us the Best Blog Award! We appreciate it!
She has a great blog and I've enjoyed getting to know her and I bet you would too! Be sure to pay her a visit!
************************************************
The lovely Reese from A Kitty Named Reese gave us this award that she says is Spanish for "your blog doesn't stink"!
Our daddy speaks Spanish and doesn't think it's Spanish so we have no idea what it says but it's a pretty award anyway! Thank you so much Miss Reese!
***********************************************
Duni from Lovely Purses gave us the Best Blog Award
and also the Humane Award!
The Humane Award is in order to honor certain bloggers that I feel are kindhearted individuals. They regularly take part in my blog and always leave the sweetest comments. If it wasn’t for them, my site would just be an ordinary blog. Their blogs are also amazing and are tastefully done on a daily basis. I thank them and look forward to our growing friendships through the blog world.

I will pass this to the following bloggers in no particular order:

Okay, there are no names listed here because I started writing down everyone's names! So that means I'm passing it on to all my commenters! There's no way to single anyone out since I want you all to have it!
**********************************************
Phew! That'll teach me to go out of town and get so far behind! We received one other award but it'll be posted later this week. After all that, we're going to relax the rest of the weekend and we hope you do too! Have a great Sunday!

We are going to look at potential houses to buy tomorrow...decided to consider buying rather than renting so that Scrooge can come with us without hassles.

Your article is a good reminder that anything that doesn't work for us can be changed - drastically!

I enjoyed the story about your kitchen. And yes, it definitely looks great now! I think you are going to have to have a trophy case put in now with all these well-deserved awards.

Great kitchen!! I don't have a dishwasher, but do have 2 sons!! They always had to help me with the dishes - I called it "Mother-Son bonding time". The youngest thought if we had a dishwasher - the bonding time would go faster. LOL

Congratulations on all these awards! And that's a gorgeous kitchen. I especially like the photos with the girls, of course!

That blog award is in Portuguese - I think it must be a colloquial expression because Google Translate didn't do a very good job on it! ("Proven! Your blog has nectar!")

WOW! Congrats and concats on all the awards! How cool!
We love your kitchen remodel - I'm sure Angel and Sophie were instrumental in getting everything "just so" -- and how could you have worked if Isabella wasn't on Sentry Duty!?! What a great team effort!
Mom especially likes your faucet and would love to have one like that some day!
