Playing on Caturday - and Everyday!

Every day Angel plays in the bathtub in the guest bathroom. If we have a bottle of water, we have to pour some water in the tub. When we refill Sadie's bowl, we have to pour water in the tub. It depends on the day but usually she attacks the water as it trails down the tub into the drain. I made my very first video ever of one of her play times in the tub and here it is! Remember - this is my FIRST ever video so not real exciting!

Thanks to Karen at Zemeks blog for giving the information on how to do this little films on the computer!

Why We Nap!

There are a lot of pictures of us napping so we think there needs to be a explanation of why we nap so much during the day. Every night, Mommy throws our toys down to the bottom of the stairs.
Laser eyes doesn't stop her from doing this.
We cannot have our toys laying at the bottom of the stairs, look at this mess!
All through the night we have to carry them one by one back up stairs and leave them on the foot of the bed. How's a kitty supposed to sleep with all this work to do?Sometimes for fun, we leave them right where Mommy will step on them when she gets up in the morning. (Hee hee!) She really loves when we carry the ones with bells in them! Trouble is, she hears us coming and knows where we are in the room but by the time she gets up to stop us - we're already downstairs getting the next toy!So that is why we must nap all day!

A Day at the Beach

While we napped yesterday, Mommy and Daddy went to the Oregon coast and all they brought us were these pictures. No treats, no toys, just pictures. Unbelievable.
These boats catch fish and crabs - why didn't you bring some home Daddy?
We would have liked one of these Mommy. There's one for me...
And one for Isabella!
Mommy says these bark more than Sadie!
Exciting pictures huh? I thought so...

Lazy Sunday

We're spending our Sunday sleeping because Mommy and Daddy went to the Oregon coast and left us home alone today. It's the anniversary of the day they met a gazillion years ago so they thought they should go out and celebrate the special day. We think every day is a special day with us around so we don't understand why they wanted to go see a lot of water instead of being with us. Oh well, back to sleep now...
Update on Morgan, the kitty we told you about in this post. He did have his surgery on Tuesday and all of his teeth were removed. The last update received from Michael Elan at It's Meow or Never was that he took Morgan home after his surgery so he could recuperate. The vet was also going to do testing on his tissue and blood. No further updates have been received yet. Thank you to everyone offering support and purrs for Morgan!

Angel & Awards...

In yesterday's comments, Lily from Tulips Talking asked where I've been. Isn't she just the sweetest? Thank you so much for asking Lily! Anyway, I've just been "being cute" as my mommy says. I'll try to not let Isabella hog the blog anymore and try to make more appearances.
Speaking of Lily, she gave us the Uber Amazing Blog! Award the other day! It is such an honor to have a blog people want to visit, let alone one that is called Uber Amazing! Thank you so much Lily! We certainly appreciate it! Be sure to check out Lily's Tulips Talking blog and you'll see exactly why she received it too! Lily also has a whole herd of furbabies that are all as cute as can be and she is such a wonderful and caring person that we are so happy to know! She's also Uber Talented so check out her Etsy shop!

We also recently received the Lemonade Award from Jodi at Jodi's Journey blog! This award is for blogs which show great attitude and/or gratitude and we are certainly extremely grateful to receive it! Jodi has a wonderful blog in which she shares her life in a way that makes you feel a part of it all and you can just feel her warmth, friendship and importance of family from her. She is also an avid supporter of animal awareness causes and we appreciate that immensely! Thank you so much Jodi!

As for passing out these awards, we're going to have to think about that for awhile so will do that sometime in the future! Thank you so much Lily and Jodi! We are very grateful and appreciative to have received these awards!

Happy Caturday everybuddy!

Thanksgiving Traditions

This month's EtsyBloggers Blog Carnival theme choices were 1) What is your favorite tradition for the Thanksgiving holiday? or 2) How are you going to prepare your business for the holiday rush? Since this will be our first holiday season with our BeadedTail shop, I have no idea how to prepare so I chose the discuss my favorite traditions for Thanksgiving.

Growing up I always remember my mom's fantastic stuffing and spending the day with family. We have a small family and I'm an only child so Thanksgiving was always a nice time to get together with grandparents and celebrate the day with good food and football. On November 23, 1983, the day before Thanksgiving that year, I began dating my now husband and he became a part of every Thanksgiving celebration!

Since the early 1990's, after hubby and I moved from Kansas to Colorado and later to Oregon, we have been celebrating all holidays with just the two of us as jobs and pets keep us from traveling to visit my mom in Las Vegas or my dad, Grandma and other family in Kansas. They are busy too so are unable to come visit us during the holidays.

Even though it's just the two of us, we still fix a Thanksgiving dinner, although on a much smaller scale, and we also have to watch football. We'll start a fire in the fireplace and just enjoy a nice, quiet day. This year will be more special since it's the 25th anniversary of our first Thanksgiving together and this is the year of our 20th wedding anniversary too. And of course, getting to spend the day with Sadie, Isabella and Angel is just the dollop of whipped cream on the already perfect pumpkin pie!

Just Had to Share!

Earlier this week, Krystal from SolSisters featured our jewelry in a wonderful post on her blog. She is a fellow Etsy seller and we met through Entrecard and I always enjoy visiting her blog and seeing her new creations. She is also an animal lover and has also posted informative animal awareness posts on her blog which is an issue near and dear to my heart! Another thing in her favor, she lives in Las Vegas which is where my partner (my mom) lives too!

Anyway, Krystal makes handbags and accessories that are truly works of art and sells them in her SolSisters Etsy shop. In her own words they are "funky, flashy and downright wild". One of her creations is this Double Doody Bark Bag. It has room for keys, cell phone, dog treats - all the necessities that you take along with you when you walk your dog PLUS it has a place to carry the roll of poop bags! How clever is that?

She also has this colorful and fun cat handbag!
For fun handbags and accessories, be sure to check out Krystal's SolSisters shop and blog!

Yay!

I logged on to Entrecard tonight and went to the Campaign and right up top in between Daisy and Holy Cuteness is me! Wow! What an honor! This is the first time I've been in the #2 position in my category - or at least the first time I've seen it. Thank you so much to everyone who visits me and my furbabies!

Snuggles

While doing my Entrecard drops last Friday night, I looked over and Angel and Isabella were all snuggled up which is a rarity these days! (Yes I keep my camera with me pretty much all the time!)
Sadie was sitting in "her" chair waiting on me to get finished. This chair really needs to be thrown out but we can't figure out what to get that would be dog proof so it is still here although it's downstairs in the "man cave" - where hubby spends most of his time but the four of us took it over Friday night.

Don't our pets have a rough life?

Angel here..

Here I am laying on one of my new blankets that Mommy had my grandma make especially for me. It's very comfy because she put in nice thick padding and the fabric is a soft flannel. She made me four blankets all together - two each of different fabrics, two like this one with the little owls and two animal print ones for when I'm feeling a little wild! Actually the colors match the two rooms that I need something warm to lay on. You like how I'm glowing in this yellow toned room? Anyway, my grandma thinks that because Mommy wanted me to have my very own blankets that I am spoiled! Can you believe that? I didn't think so! Everybuddy knows that a kitty must have warm spots to lay on in every room!

Helping Morgan

Our Isabella had some teeth pulled a few months ago due to gum issues and those of you that follow the most handsome white kitty ever, Luxor, know of his troubles and recent loss of his upper teeth. Because of all this, I'm really sensitive to any animal having to deal with mouth pain and teeth trouble - or any pain for that matter. When I heard about a kitty named Morgan at the It's Meow or Never Animal Rescue & Sanctuary and his need of surgery for his teeth and gum problems, I knew I had to help raise money for his surgery. Here is what is written on their website about Morgan:
Morgan is a beautiful cat that we rescued from a trailer park. He gets a little rough when you try to pet him too much so he is our sanctuary kitty. He needs surgery now to remove most of his teeth. His gums are very red, his breathe is terrible, and he has swollen nodes from the infection. He has seen two vets and they both put him on antibiotics and steroids. Now it's time to remove those teeth. Please help him if you can by donating for him. The surgery will be approx. $250.00.

A fellow Etsian with a huge heart named Marjorie, aka WHSKR, first brought Morgan to my attention when she said she would donate 100% of all sales in her shop to help Morgan. Last weekend I did the same and we both had sales and were able to donate a little to his cause. Once again, I am donating 100% of all sales in our BeadedTail shop this weekend to helping Morgan. So far we've had 2 sales in our shop and all of those proceeds will go to help this little guy.

If you'd like to help Morgan, there is a PayPal button on the It's Meow or Never website or if you click here, you can see the mailing address if you prefer to send a check. They are a 501(c)(3) organization so all donations are tax deductible.

The following Etsy shops are helping raise money for Morgan:

BeadedTail - Donations on sales of all items in shop

WHSKR - Donations on sales of all items in shop

DragonRags - Donations on select items in shop found here and here

Fashionsplatter - Donations on select items in shop found here

LolaLynn - Donations on select items in shop found here

Midnightrabbits - Donations on select items in shop found here

Please send your purrs for Morgan as he goes through surgery and recovery.
